Aztec pumping test units are fully digitized, to ensure that the pump test data collected is of the highest standard. Drawdown and recovery depth data in the pumped well and any monitoring wells, are automatically col-lected using downhole pressure transducers with on-board memory. Barometric data is also collected. Flowrates are constantly monitored during step tests and constant rate tests using a Wolfmann type flow-meter. An ultrasonic flowmeter is also installed on the same flow manifold as a double check of the primary flowmeter. Flow rate data is digitally logged for later incorporation into the pump test data.. Depth and flow data are collated into Excel , making tabular and graphical data easily exportable to all aquifer testing analysis programs Aztec utilizes ABB frequency converters to control pumping rates, making step test transitions smooth and maintaining constant flow rates over the duration of a constant rate test .
