SeriesB14.4-20mA Alarm Receiver.......Accurate, Reliable Alarm, Display, and Signal Retransmission……For Gas Detection Systems.ATI’s Series B14 Receivers are compact electronic mod-ules that provide local alarm, display, and signalretransmission functions for gas detection systems.The modules are designed to accept input from eithertwo, three, or four wire 4-20 mA transmitters locatedup to 10,000 feet from the receiver. They’re ideally suit-ed for use with ATI’s Series A12 or B12 two-wire toxicgas transmitters, or Model A12-17 or B12-17 three-wirecombustible gas transmitter.B14 Alarm Receivers are DIN rail mounted modulesthat can be supplied in single or multiple unit enclo-sures. Each alarm module offers a variety of functions:• LED Display: Gas concentrations are indicateddirectly in PPM, PPB, percent, or percent LEL withthe display range selectable by the user.• Three Alarm Setpoints: Each module providesseparate caution, warning, and alarm setpointswith LED bar indicators of each alarm point. LEDindicators flash on initial alarm condition andchange to steady on when the alarm is indicated.• Three Relay Outputs: Modules contain individ-ual alarm relays for each alarm setpoint. However,each relay can be assigned to any setpoint toallow multiple alarm functions at a single alarmpoint. Relays are configurable for either standardor fail-safe operation and for either latching ornon-latching operation.• Separate Trouble Alarm: A fourth LED alarm barand relay are provided to indicate trouble condi-tions. The trouble alarm and relay will activate onloss of input signal or if the 4-20 mA input dropsbelow a specific value.• Remote reset Input: Isolated input contacts areprovided to allow an unpowered switch input foracknowledgment of alarm conditions from aremote location or via telemetry equipment.• Internal Transmitter Power: Modules provide a24 VDC power supply to operate either 2 or 3wire transmitters.• Signal Retransmission: A 4-20 mA output is pro-vided from each module, optically isolated fromthe input signal to avoid ground fault problems.• DC Powered: B14 modules are powered from a12 VDC power supply available as an option. Upto 3 modules can be powered from one powersupply (or 2 if battery backup is used).
