BIOAZUL S.L. provides innovative, technical and commercial solutions for the water, wastewater and energy sectors, using knowledge and techniques gained from extensive cross-industry experience. BIOAZUL is a fast growing company which aims to act like a catalyst, promoter and facilitator for the establishment of commercial and research relationships between Spanish companies and research centres and their counterparts all over Europe. Furthermore, BIOAZUL will participate in the commercialisation of highly innovative products in the fields of environment protection and energy efficiency.

The multidisciplinary and international team of BIOAZUL is formed by environmental experts, civil and agricultural engineers and economists with high experience in applied R&D and innovation activities at European level in the fields of environment, energy and water. The team provides cost effective tools and solutions to improve client`s processes and business operations and solve problems. With over 15 years experience, covering hydraulic design, fluid mixing and technical and economic best practice establishment, BIOAZUL applies its expertise by offering independent consultancy and research services to meet the wide range of processes, applications and business requirements within the wastewater and energy industry and beyond. Serving all those involved in the industry, BIOAZUL executes its business globally, either directly or in partnership depending upon the project and market requirements.

The work of BIOAZUL is concentrated consequently in two parallel but interconnected business lines:

Innovation and product development
The main focus of our activities lies in the development and presentation of selected innovative products in the field of environment and energy technologies (e.g. additives for wastewater treatment, membrane bioreactors and renewable energy systems, etc.).

BIOAZUL has been participating in the development of own products in the mentioned fields, by means of own projects or by participating in research projects initiated by third parties at national or European level.

Technology and Innovation Consulting
In the field of Technology and Innovation Consulting, BIOAZUL offers Spanish SMEs and Universities the access to European funding and thus gives them the possibility to carry out their projects for the development of new products or processes. With this aim, BIOAZUL has the in-depth know-how both of the available funding tools (mainly the 6th Research Framework Programme of the European Commission), and of the necessary technical and administrative procedures. Furthermore BIOAZUL possesses an extensive network of technological and commercial contacts all over Europe, thus enabling the formation of a consortium of partners which can optimise success` possibilities. Moreover BIOAZUL offers to take care of the management and co-ordination tasks of the research project in the case it is selected for public funding.
