bioFLOW SKIDS BioFLOW Membrane Skid SI Units US Units Membrane Pore Size 0.03 microns Nominal flux 54 – 108 lmh 30 – 60 gfd Trans Membrane Pressure (TMP) 2.0 – 8.0 bar 29 – 116 psig Scouring Velocity 3.5 – 5.0 m/s 9.8 – 16.4 ft/s Nominal Power Consumption 2.2 – 7.0 kWh/m3 8.3 - 26.6 kWh/1000 gal Materials of Construction PVDF housed in CPVC or FRP casings The bioFLOW concept is a pressure driven filtration process, which physically separates solutions and dispersions into concentrates and permeates. The wastewater is separated as it circulates across the membrane module at a high velocity. Permeate is forced through the pores of the membrane, while suspended particulate remains in the return stream. Cross-flow filtration creates high turbulence on the membrane surface and prevents the accumulation of particles on the inner surfaces of the tubular membrane, providing high flux and prolonged membrane life.
