bioFLOW - Microfiltration (MF) Tubular Membrane System Brochure
BioFLOW MF Membrane Skid US Units Membrane Pore Size 0.1 or 0.5 microns Nominal flux 100 – 1,000 gfd Trans Membrane Pressure (TMP) 29 – 116 psig Scouring Velocity 9.8 – 16.4 ft/s Membrane Materials of Construction PVDF membrane on either PE or PVDF substrate The bioFLOW MF System is a pressure driven back-pulsed microfiltration process, which physically separates solutions and dispersions into concentrates and permeates. The wastewater is separated as it circulates across the tubular membrane at a high velocity. Permeate is forced through the pores of the membrane, while suspended particulate remains in the return stream. Cross-flow filtration creates high turbulence on the membrane surface and prevents the accumulation of particles on the inner surfaces of the membrane. The MF permeate is back-pulsed on a timed cycle basis for a reverse flow pattern through the membrane pore. This method is able to dislodge particles, sustain a high flux and prolong membrane life. bioFLOW MF Systems ? Back-pulsing microfiltration process ? Optimized for high-strength industrial wastewater ? Excellent anti-fouling behavior ? High chemical resistance and excellent pressure stability ? Durable, with long life expectancy ? Aggressive CIP capabilities ? Fully automated and scalable to all size facilities ? High flux rates and low membrane plugging or clogging risk ? Custom pilot units determine specific flux capabilities ? Feed-and-bleed or direct recirculation units available A CLARCOR Companywww.bioprocessH2O.com | Tel. 401.683.5400 45 Highpoint Avenue | Portsmouth, Rhode Island 02871 bioFLOW Microfilter (MF) System
