BioIonix service agreement available?--?-?-?--?-?-?-?-?Applications Development Some or all of the benefits listed above apply to many of the BioIonix applications described in this brochure and to others as well. Anywhere consistent disinfection is an expense and a challenge, where water reuse is a priority, or where hands-off disinfection performance can enhance operational efficiency, product quality and safety. BioIonix welcomes the opportunity to discuss your specific liquid disinfection needs.FSBR130101Disinfection efficacy. The graph above illustrates the disinfection performance of the BioIonix process on a challenging liquid both with BioIonix pretreatment before adding the pathogen bolus and without such pretreatment. Total disinfection was achieved and maintained, with pretreatment instantly effective.Advanced Disinfection Systems for Food Safety and Water ReuseClean Technology Process Liquid DisinfectionBased on a decade of intensive research and development, the BioIonix electrochemical process provides an entirely new method of disinfecting challenging liquids streams. It has proven to be especially effective for disinfecting cloudy food processing liquids containing high organic loads. The process uses a proprietary electrochemical field to disinfect liquids as they flow through the BioIonix reactor module. This patented and patent-pending process generates reactive oxygen species and hypochlorous disinfectants from the liquid stream itself. An advanced automated control system monitors flow rates, power delivery and other parameters to provide reliable performance while minimizing energy use.Cutaway of BioIonix reactor module. The BioIonix Process: A breakthrough technology that disinfects difficult liquids Food safety concerns, water shortages, increasing wastewater disposal fees and a move to reduce chemical usage require more cost-effective and environmentally sustainable solutions for the disinfection of food and food processing liquids.BioIonix’s electrochemical technology disinfects without the use of toxic chemicals and produces no harmful byproducts or toxic gases. The following are some challenging disinfection applications currently being developed.Capacities from 20 gallons per minute to over one million gallons or more per day.BioIonix Exlusive: Online disinfection efficacy estimate.Designed for clean-in-place (CIP) without disassembly.Entire system designed to 3A food industry standards using FDA approved materials.USDA accepted for meat and poultry processing applications. No moving parts. No fine filtering required.Low energy use. Safe, low voltage process. Compact footprint fits into existing facilities. Easy retrofit installation.????????BioIonix’s “green” technology is safe and environmentally friendly. The company’s exclusive catalytic reactor plates and proprietary power delivery methods ensure efficient operation and long operating life. The result is a rugged, reliable process with many potential applications across industries. Contact us to discuss your disinfection and water reuse problems. Because of the broad applicability of the BioIonix process, we may be able to offer a solution to your specific operating challenges. How the BioIonix Process WorksThe BioIonix process uses a low voltage electrical field and high performance catalytic plates to create oxygen based disinfectants from water itself. At the same time the process generates hypochlorous acid and other chlorine disinfectants from any salt in the liquid stream. The combination of these safe and powerful BioIonix SuperOxidants™ destroy bacteria and other pathogens while providing additional residual disinfection performance. The BioIonix process effectively disinfects cloudy and opaque liquids with high organic loads and significant solids. No disinfection chemicals are used. The BioIonix process is safe, reliable and environmentally friendly, while eliminating the hazards and toxic byproducts of chemical and radiation technologies. Operators and QC personnel do not need to monitor pumps, dispensing tanks, chemical jugs or perform other easy-to-forget activities to have a good feel for disinfection efficacy. Instead, the BioIonix control system monitors a combination of sensors and other parameters to forecast disinfection efficacy in a manner that has been proven effective in a number of commercial installations. Such an estimate needs confirmation by normal laboratory procedures that can take 24 hours or more to obtain, so this online guidance is particularly helpful. This disinfection efficacy estimate is displayed in an intuitive manner easily monitored from a distance by operators, supervisors and QA personnel alike. In many installations a green-yellow-flashing red stack light is mounted in an easily viewed location. All green signifies proper disinfection efficacy. Yellow indicates expected good disinfection but that some operating changes are developing, such as reduced liquid flow caused by a partially blocked strainer that requires cleaning by the operator. If disinfection efficacy is compromised, the stack light turns flashing red. Similarly color-coded informational blocks on the touchscreen panel of the power control unit provide additional information and help pinpoint the cause. Recommended corrective action may be displayed as well. The BioIonix system maintains password-protected data records that can be downloaded to comply with regulatory requirements and for further analysis.
