REACH Evaluation webinar - Be ready to defend your registered dossier
The quality and compliance assessment of your registered dossier is carried
out independently from the registration process: the second stage in the
REACH process is the so-called evaluation stage and starts immediately after
the registration This stage comprises both the assessment of registered dos-
siers (compliance check of registrations and examination of testing proposals)
and of the substances themselves.
This webinar will cover a number of areas that should help you to get ready
for the first initiatives by authorities and to defend your dossier.
Our ReachCentrum legal advisor will present these topics and will endeavour
to respond to the questions raised during the webinar.
REACH Authorisation webinar - Applications for Authorisation in practice
The manufacturers, importers and/or Downstream users will have to prepare
and submit by a certain date an application in order to be granted the right to
continue to use or place such substances on the EU market.
The webinar will cover a number of areas that should help you, as potential
applicant, to understand the authorisation application procedure and the re-
quirements on the contents of applications, as well as the use of submission
formats, manuals and tools.
Get to know the essentials to prepare and submit an application
Our ReachCentrum legal advisor will present these topics and will endeavour
to respond to the questions raised during the webinar.

After the 2010 REACH registration deadline, other technical challenges are expected for
business and companies: preparing eSDS, the Evaluation phase carried out by the mem-
ber states, the Authorisation phase prepared by industry.
For the new substances that will be registered for
the first time in 2013, there is a lot of preparation
work for the SIEFs : designating a lead registrant,
forming a SIEF leadership team or consortium, agreeing on the sameness of the sub-
stance, agreeing on data costs, and the tasks continue, then for all companies con-
cerned they need to start their supply chain communication with their downstream
users.
This event will allow you to discuss with your peers their experiences in managing the
workload, to receive information from experts and much more besides.
Are these the questions you
are asking to yourself?
- What do I give to my customers?
- When will the Evaluation begin
for me?
- Authorization - how do I begin?
- Do I want to be a lead registrant?
- What is happening in the SIEFs?
- Do we have internal resources?
- What training do I need to get
now?
- What will it cost me?
- How do I begin, I am new to the
role?
- And more…
Benefits of this conference
- Complete overview of the future
technical challenges
- Provide practical guidance
- Use examples and tools to demon-
strate the processes
- Clarify the process for follow up ac-
tions
- Allocated time for Q&A sessions
Who should attend this event
Those who are preparing to take on the
REACH registration tasks within their
company, existing REACH managers,
business managers who need to under-
stand why REACH is on their desk, what
is the implication for their future busi-
ness and continuity of business..

Lead Registrant for the 2013 registration?
Do you have newcomers who need to be aware of
REACH ? Have you considered the resources re-
quired to prepare for this deadline?
For 2010 we witnessed many companies (both Lead Registrants and co-registrants)
underestimate the effort needed to prepare for registration both in human resources

The training courses are geared towards helping the user become operational
with the IUCLID5 database to submit their dossier for the REACH registration.
The courses are divided to meet the needs of the registrant to cover the func-
tionality of the database linked to the process to be followed by each regis-
trant.
For a Lead Registrant – 2 days
The user must know how to compile the various chapters linked to the regis-
tration requirements for end point studies. The Chemical Safety Report
(normally generated by CHESAR) is based on the data completed within the
IUCLID5 database.
For a Joint Submission Registrant – 1 day
The user need only know how to fill in their company specific information re-
lating to the dossier they will submit. The course will take the user through
the complete process of generating a dossier and submitting this to ECHA via
the REACH IT platform.
Benefits of attending these courses
After participating in the courses you will:
- Know the functionalities of IUCLID5 to
meet your REACH obligations
- Understand the process for REACH regis-
tration
- Completing dossiers will demonstrate
the time and effort required so as to help
you plan and allocate resources to meet
the REACH deadlines.
- Experienced trainers will provide best
practices for you to adopt
-Q&A throughout the sessions

ReachCentrum is offering a new series of risk assessment workshops to reflect
how the tools can be used to create the chemical safety reports required for
REACH.
The latest version of CHESAR – 1.1.3 - will be used together with IUCLID 5.3.

workflow for carrying out a standard chemical safety assessment for the dif-
ferent uses of a substance:
Substance Maintenance
Life Cycle Tree
Assessment Cycle
Exposure Scenario
Generation of CSR
Use of determinants
During our CHESAR training you will have time to ask questions about the
tool and how to apply it to your own situation. Moreover you will have
hands-on experience by completing several Chemical Safety Reports.

will be able to:
- Understand the complete applica-
tion
- Understand how to manipulate the
tools to achieve the expected out-

Are you new to REACH? Do you want to get familiar with REACH in an efficient
and practical way? Do you want to learn REACH saving money? The REACH
Awareness Boot Camp is a one week training programme combining presenta-
tions of the legislation with exercises to put into practice what has been ex-
plained.
The term 'boot camp' is used to describe there is a need for co-operation and
team effort – similar to what will eventually happen in the SIEFs. This course is
designed to push people a little bit further than they would normally push
themselves to find out more and apply their judgments to the successful con-
clusion of REACH. The idea is that everyone involved will team up and work
towards the same one goal.
OPTIMISE your time and LEARN everything you need
on REACH IN ONE WEEK
Objectives of the Boot Camp
To ensure the participant can
explain the essentials of the
REACH legislation and explain
examples as related in the ac-
companying guidance docu-
ments.
To provide a project plan of what
is to be done in time for the reg-
istration deadline June 2013.
To complete the tasks that are to
be undertaken by both LR and
SIEF members by producing reg-
istration dossiers.
