During regeneration, valve withdraws saturated solutionof sodium chloride to exchange Ca and Mg ion with Sodium.These Ca and Mg ions are led towards valve drain port andthen some rinsing are executed until sodium chlorideexcess is removed from the resin bed. Your water willnot be softened during this period. OW DOES IT WORK ?Pallas Duo works in a different way than thePallas Mono. It uses a duplex valve and two ves-sels. That means it can deliver softened water allday long, 7 days a week. When one vessel isbeing regenerated, the valve automaticallyswitches to the other vessel. It is a counter cur-rent regeneration and the soft water helps theregeneration to be much more efficient (quantity ofproduced soft water compared to salt and wateramount for final rinsing).
