All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners. http://mgispartners.trimble.com Page 1 9 June 2008 Trimble Reseller Confidential Trimble Nomad Now Available With Broadband Cellular Modem The Trimble® Nomad™ series of handheld computers now offers even more versatility with the introduction of the Nomad 800LD handheld and an integrated broadband cellular modem that fits under the extended cap. Use the Nomad 800LD handheld with the broadband cellular modem to: ? Send and receive data wirelessly at broadband speeds up to 1.4 Mbps without relying on Wi-Fi hotspots or a Bluetooth® wireless technology connection to a mobile phone. ? Connect directly to VRS™ correction streams when using the Trimble Nomad as a data logger for high accuracy field applications. ? Upload data, check and send email or use the Internet without the need to return to the office. The Trimble Nomad 800LD handheld contains a USB host port in place of the CF card slot of the 800L handheld, which allows the modem to be installed under the Trimble Nomad extended cap, creating a fully sealed enclosure. The modem will work with any Nomad handheld with a USB-host port, but is only certified as a rugged solution when installed on an 800LD under the extended cap. Note: The modem is certified exclusively on the Sprint network in the USA. To determine availability of service, Trimble recommends that you visit www.sprint.com to view the data coverage map for your geographical area. Ordering information and availability When you order then Nomad 800LD handheld, you receive everything you need to get connected, including the Nomad broadband cellular modem, the extended cap, and the Nomad modem support accessory. Each of these accessories are also available to order separately or as replacement parts.
