CLP: an Introduction for Suppliers of Mixtures Event Program Brochure

For full details of our ongoing programme of events visit the REACHReady website www.reachready.co.uk Your REACH and CLP advantage Who should attend? This workshop is aimed at EU suppliers of mixtures who either import from non-EU suppliers or formulate their own products. Anyone responsible for classification and labelling, as well as those accountable for wider product stewardship issues should attend. You’ll get the most from the day if you have some knowledge of the current EU classification and labelling system. Don’t worry if you haven’t – get in touch with us and we’ll help you get up to speed. There is a discount for bookings placed a month before the event date. Why attend? Whether you import or formulate mixtures, differences in the classification criteria between CLP and DPD (implemented as CHIP in the UK) mean that many of your products may change hazard class on reclassification. What will this mean for you and your customers? 1 June 2015 may seem a long way off, but now is the time to be preparing for the changeover to CLP, especially if you think you – or your non-EU supplier – may need to reformulate to avoid classification changes. This workshop will help you understand: ? The transition from DPD to CLP ? Your role and obligations under CLP ? Notification to the Classification and Labelling Inventory ? The key changes to classification criteria for mixtures ? How and when should you use the Annex VII translation table ? Selection of P statements ? Practical labelling issues This one day workshop aims to give you an understanding of your duties under CLP and practical skills to help you reclassify your products.
