Permanent formwork to protect floors from shrinkage in clay soil. Foundation problems in clay soil rarely allow for a "proactive" approach. In most cases, the structure is designed with soil mechanics in mind. Modifying unfavourable environmental conditions is rare. Daliform Group has developed Coffrargile, a disposable formwork made from recycled plastic that absorbs clay soil movements, protecting the ground from shrinkage/swelling.
