DeGaSDeGaSDeGaSDeGaS -- -- HH HH Hot Water Column Deaeration System DeGaS - H The Principle Structured packing typically consists of thin corrugated metal plates arranged in a way that they force liquids to take multiple paths through the column, thereby creating a large surface area for contact between different phases. The hot water passes the column in a counter current flow top-down to the strip gas CO2. The removed oxygen will leave the column at its top together with the not dissolved CO2 to the vent. A column discharge pump forwards the water from the bottom of column to the DAW process. By using a multiple zone heat exchanger the efficiencyof the column deaeration system can be increased. For process safety an optional inline oxygen measurement determine the proper function continuously.
