Incineration may be used to dispose of a wide range of waste streams including municipal solid waste, commercial, animal carcass, clinical and certain types of industrial waste including wastes from Military Activities.The bene?ts of incineration include: • reduction in the volume and weight of waste, especially of bulky solids with a high combustible content. The reduction can be up to 99% of the volume and 95% of the weight of materials based on the content of the waste that would otherwise go to land?ll, • destruction of some wastes and detoxi?cation of others to render them more suitable for ?nal disposal, • destruction of the organic component of biodegradable waste that, when land?lled, directly generates land?ll gas, • recovery of energy from organic wastes with su?cient organic value, • replacement of fossil fuel for energy generation with bene?cial consequences in the greenhouse e?ect.Incinerator, atiklarin kontrollü olarak yakilmasi ve imhasiyla daha az tehlikeli ve toksik özellikte maddeler elde edilmesine yönelik bir uygulamadir. The 3 T’s of combustion (temperature, turbulence, and residence time) must be present along with su?cient oxygen for the reaction to occur: • The burning mixture (air, wastes, and fuel) must be raised to a su?cient temperature to destroy all organic components. The combustion air?ow is reduced to the minimum level needed to provide the oxygen for the support fuel (gas, oil, or coal) and the combustible wastes without forming high levels of CO and unburned hydrocarbons. This will raise the temperature to the level needed for good combustion. Santes design team selects the best-suited burner based on your waste type and speci?cations to achieve required temperature in both primary and secondary combustion chambers. • Turbulence refers to the constant mixing of fuel, waste, and oxygen. Santes provides alternatives solutions for this based on the waste type, amount and speci?cations. • Residence time is the time of exposure to combustion temperatures.
