We are a technically biased company and a number of our skilled staff have been involved in the design and manufacture of fire testing, thermal analysis, rheology and spectroscopy instruments since the mid-eighties. Some of our design engineers previously worked for Stanton Redcroft (Polymer Labs / Rheometric Scientific) and two of our senior engineers have also developed bespoke equipment and consulted to other fire testing organisations. We can therefore boast over 50 years of experience in the design and manufacture of fire testing instrumentation.

We originally supplied equipment as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and then further developed our own range of reaction to fire test equipment, for sale directly to the fire science industry.

In addition to the supply of the internationally specified equipment above, we can also support your existing fire science instruments under the brand names of Stanton Redcroft, Polymer Laboratories, Rheometric Scientific, Atlas, Govmark, Fire Instrumentation & Research Equipment, Heightfield, E W Cowells as well as other manufacturer’s products. Concept are able to supply spares and offer various upgrade options for your existing instrumentation. It is possible to update your old equipment to enable data acquisition, computer control or add the latest software interface in line with current test methods and reporting requirements.

We often assist our customers in the design and development of their laboratories and test facilities. We will always propose a workable and realistic instrumentation solution, which meets customer specification, is fit for purpose and is achievable to an agreed budget.
