Consistometer- Brochure

Product InformationCONSISTOMETERGeneral InformationThe Consistometer is a low cost, durable, instrument for accurately checkinglaboratory or production samples against consistency, viscosity or flow ratestandards. It uses little bench space and is yet probably the simplest, most accurate method ofconducting a variety of flow associated tests. It is already widely used in thechemical, paint, cosmetic and food processing industries. The consistometer provides a single parameter for a variety of flow tests which canbe carried out over any period under as near identical conditions as possible. The Consistometer or Bostwick Consistometer is manufactured from stainless steelengraved with a series of precise graduations at 0.5 cm intervals. To ensure accurate reproducibility, the instrument is levelled using the adjustmentscrews and spirit level.AdvantagesLow costEase of useSuitable for a variety of testsProvides a consistent platform for testRequires only 75 ml of sampleStainless steel constructionEngraved graduations for accurate resultsLeveling screws and spirit level enable accurate set upAvailable as standard or extended versionSpecificationsApplication checking laboratory or productionsamples against consistency, viscosity or flow rate standardsLength standard version: 355 mm extendedversion: 414 mmTrough length standard version: 240 mm extendedversion: 354 mmWidth standard version: 88 mm extendedversion: 88 mmHeight standard version: 104 mm extendedversion: 104 mmFunctionA measured sample, usually 75 ml, is placed in the resevoir behind the gate of theconsistometer.page 1/229.01.2015© Endecotts Limited - www.endecotts.com - sales@endecotts.comSubject to technical modifications and errorsProduct InformationCONSISTOMETERThe gate is released, by pressing the lock release lever - the spring action ensuresit opens instantaneously. As the fluid flows down the instrument its progress can be accurately measuredusing the graduated scale. By comparing the flow rate to specified time periods thephysical properties of the sample can be calculated.Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)page 2/229.01.2015© Endecotts Limited - www.endecotts.com - sales@endecotts.comSubject to technical modifications and errors
