The purpose is to keep sediment and debris out of the storm sewer, while maintaining safe vehicle traffic. 2.0 Material:2.1 The Road Drain- Curb & Gutter model consists of a reusable, open topped receptacle that sets inside the storm sewer grate. An incorporated rear deflector plate is connected to the receptacle directing the water into the basin for filtration. 2.2 The Road Drain-Curb & Gutter model has a replaceable filter cartridge.2.3 The filter media shall meet all local specifications for inlet protection.3.0 Installation:3.1 Remove the grate from the storm sewer casting.3.2 Clean all edges, of the casting frame, where the Curb & Gutter model will be supported3.3 Place filter media over the filter cartridge and install to unit.3.4 Insert the receptacle into the casting frame.3.5 Install casting grate on top of Curb & Gutter model making sure the grate is secure for traffic.3.6 The maximum height change should be 1/8” of the casting cover to frame.4.0 Maintenance:4.1 Check filter media after each rain event. Clean or replace if sediment clogs filter.4.2 Remove sediment and debris from the receptacle after each rain event.5.0 Method of Payment5.1 The quantity paid is for the actual number of Road Drain –Curb & Gutter models installed and maintained, per location (inlet).6.0 Basis of Payment:6.1 The unit price shall include labor, equipment and materials necessary to install and maintain the Road Drain Curb & Gutter model.6.2 Payment for each installation location shall be made at the contract price for:Item Unit DescriptionRoad Drain-Curb & Gutter model Ea inlet device, model # CG3067 or other
