Dissolved Air Flotation is universally recognized as perhaps the best method of primary treatment of effluents from slaughterhouses. This is essentially because of the very high degree of BOD/COD removal (as high as 90 to 95%) one can obtain across the DAF uinit. The higher the BOD reduction in the primary phase the less is the energy required in the subsequent biological phase. Our circular DAF units are in operation in slaughterhouses and poultry processing units in Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka besides India.
