Frequency: 50-60 HzPossible options Special voltages Special lengths additional use of Wagner low-frequency generator type 242ApplicationFerro-magnetic parts often becomemagnetized by transport magnets orby being chipped by magnet clamp-ing systems. Plate demagnetizingunits can demagnetize parts with athickness of up to 40-50 mm.With high alloy tempered work-pieces, or components with com-plex shapes, the series installationof a Low-Frequency Generator type242 can considerably improve thedemagnetizing effect. The demagnetizing process feeds aworkpiece transversely across thepole gap at a speed of 0.2 m/s.Make sure that the workpiece istraveling at the same speed 20 cmbefore and 20 cm after passingthrough the demagnetizing unit. Thisprocess can be repeated for large, critical parts to achieve betterdemagnetizing.A synthetic plate inserted on thepole surface protects finished work-pieces from becoming damaged.Mass produced parts can be demag-netized in a flat container madefrom unmagnetized material. Toachieve optimum demagnetizingresults, the parts should not be incontact to each other.TechnologyFull Of AttractionWagner Magnete GmbH & Co. Our pole reversing controldevice greatly dissipates magneticfields resulting from clamping mag-nets. However, parts should be al-most completely demagnetizedregularly due to their area of appli-cation. Tunnel units are particularlysuited to demagnetizing parts withlarge surface areas and thin walls, for example, tubes, rods, etc.DesignThe demagnetizing unit is coated inplastic. Locking threads M8 as wellas On/Off switches with signal lightsare available.Connection and commissioningThe mains voltage and frequencymust match the device specifica-tions. The demagnetizing processfeeds the workpiece through thetunnel at a speed of 0.2 m/s andtransports it out of the alternatingfield. For parts that are difficult todemagnetize, use our low frequencygenerator type 242 as the seriesdevice.Design:Protection class IP 65 within rangeof influence, IP 40 for electricalconnection unit.Operating time 100 %Nominal values:Preferred mains voltage: 230 VSingle-phase a.c.Mains frequency: 50 … 60 Hz(other voltages upon request)
