In recent years, supplying drink-ing water has become increasingly difficult because of populationgrowth, contamination of raw water sources, and more stringent waterquality regulations. Globaltech offers the technical and managementexpertise to effectively develop and protect this precious resource. Withexperience in the development of wellfields in the U.S. and abroad, ourprofessionals have established a reputation for implementingcost-effective solutions that ensure long-term sustainability.Water Treatment. Globaltech’s extensive water treatment experi-ence encompasses numerous treatment processes in a variety of sourcewaters, including groundwater, surface water, and seawater applica-tions. We are thoroughly knowledgeable in conventional technologiesinvolving the application of coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation,lime softening, filtration, and disinfection. We also specialize inadvanced treatment technologies to meet regulatory or water qualityrequirements, including membrane processes (nanofiltration, reverseosmosis, ozonation), enhanced coagulation, activated carbon, and ionexchange. Our more than 20 years of experience includes facilities pro-ducing from under 1.0 to over 100 million gallons of drinking water daily.Membrane Processes. Our extensive expertise in membranetreatment technologies ranges from membrane softening and brackishwater desalination in the U.S., to seawater reverse osmosis facilities inthe Caribbean. Our services cover all phases of implementation, includ-ing feasibility studies, bench scale studies, pilot tests, comprehensivedesign, and construction. We also assist in thedevelopment and permitting of concentrate disposal systems.Water Distribution Systems. Globaltech provides master planning and feasibility studies, hydraulic modeling, design, and construction management services for potable water conveyance systems. Facilities include raw water transmission and distributionpipelines, pressure reducing stations, surge protection strategies, pumping stations and diversion facilities, and storage.Wastewater Treatment. Globaltech’s wastewater treatmentservices include process design, process analysis and optimization,equipment evaluation and selection, life cycle cost evaluations,design review, operator training, and operations support. Our processexpertise includes pretreatment for screenings and grit removal, pri-mary and secondary clarification, extended aeration, sequencingbatch reactors, activated-sludge process, advanced wastewater treat-ment, biological treatment, effluent filtration, disinfection, and nutri-ent removal. Many of Globaltech’s wastewater treatment plant proj-ects also include sludge treatment and management plans, dewater-ing, stabilization, beneficial reuse, and disposal. Wastewater Collection and Forcemain Systems.Globaltech provides engineering services for gravitycollection pipelines, force mains, lift stations, lowpressure systems, wet weather flow storage facil-ities, and appurtenances. Our staff have designednumerous energy efficient lift stations andforce main systems that reduce maintenancecosts and enhance long-term reliability. Deep Injection Wells. Globaltech has provided assistance withdisposal wells ranging from 6 to more than 30 inches in diameter inthe U.S. and the Caribbean. We provide a full range of servicesincluding permit renewals, permit applications, feasibility studies, and surface equipment design and installation.Reclaimed Water Systems. Globaltech provides advancewastewater treatment systems for the reuse of secondary effluent.Facilities include filtration, disinfection, storage, pump stations, and transmission systems.International Project Delivery. Globaltech has deliveredprojects internationally for over 5 years. Our direct project experienceincludes Latin America, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, andShanghai and Hong Kong, China. We have assembledmultiple self-contained system packages for bothsingle plants and entire facilities. Our turnkeyservices include design, procurement, transporta-tion logistics, delivery status tracking, pre-ship-ment inspection and testing, shipping and documentation arrange-ment, and onsite services for construction management, startup, andcommissioning. We also provide training and operations assistance.Packaged Systems. With turnkey delivery, we manage materi-als selection and system interface requirements, such as control sys-tems and power requirements, to ensure every project element isstandardized and easily integrated with existing facilities. These sys-tems are suitable for export and can often be designed to fit withinthe confines of normal shipping and trucking specifications. Logistics Planning. Globaltech isuniquely located adjacent to major portsthroughout South Florida, enabling usto maintain consistent logistical controlof packaged systems and materials.Prior to final delivery, we conduct inspec-tions and make any necessary corrections to ensure total client satisfaction. Our logistics experience with foreign customs and docu-mentation procedures prevents unnecessary delays and excess costs.To add value to our services, we assess the capabilities of the con-struction trade at the project location and provide pre-engineered systems commensurate with local capabilities.Motion Picture Filming Support. Globaltech has the uniqueexperience required to provide onsite treatment systems that achieveultra-clear water for the underwater filming environment. For exam-ple, we provided engineering, turnkey installation, and operationsservices for the underwater filming tanks in Warner Brother’s motionpicture SPHERE. This project, which included over 3 million gallons ofwater in four separate filming environments, required heating, recir-culation, ozonation, and full-time operations and monitoring support.Our services include design, installation,and operation of onsite temporary or per-manent facilities including treatment, recir-culation, and monitoring and control systemsas well as tank erection and storage facilities. Marine Mammal Life Support. Globaltech has completedmarine mammal and aquatic life support systems at major aquatictheme parks in Florida, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Our technical staffand marine aquatic systems partners have the expertise to evaluatethe needs of individual marine species and to develop an artificialenvironment suitable to sustain and develop life for display andresearch purposes.
