Theycombine a unique textured look withsuperior abuse resistance. Thesehigh-impact acoustical panelscombine several functions that trulyset them apart for use in commercial,institutional, recreational andindustrial buildings.Tectum panels can be mechanicallyattached to a variety of ceilingsubstrates which include: theunderside of the roof deck; the joistsand other support members; drywallsuspension systems; metal and woodfurring structures and othercommonly used support systems.Panels should be no greater than 96”long, beveled on all four sides andplaced in a random ashlars pattern(cinder block style). They can be cuteasily and shaped with standardwoodworking tools.Tectum Direct-Attached CeilingPanels can be used in their attractiveunpainted natural color, paintedwhite or custom colors. The Wisconsin Aspen isa self-propagating type tree. Whencut, a new tree will begin to growback from its root structure. Inaddition, all Wisconsin Aspen usedfor Tectum is air-dried. No dryingkilns are used. The wood is stored inranks to age naturally. No chemicalsare used in the production of anyexcelsior purchased by Tectum Inc. All excelsior used in Tectumproducts comes from a single sourcethat is affiliated with both the ForestStewardship Council (FSC) and theSustainable Forestry Initiatives (SFI)programs. These programs are acomprehensive system of objectivesand performance measures thatintegrate the perpetual growing andharvesting of trees with theprotection of wildlife, plants, soil andwater quality. All loggers are trainedto adhere to FSC and SFI principles.Magnesium oxide is mixed withmagnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) toform the primary binder.
