Echo - Model SH-02 - Shear Wave Couplant - Brochure

A high viscosity flowable couplant having sufficient bulk and shear modules at ambient temperatures to support the coupling of shear waves and guided waves.  Echo Shear Wave ultrasonic couplant transmits normal incidence (zero degree) shear waves,  is water-soluble and easily applied and removed. A small amount of Echo Shear Wave Couplant should be placed on the face of the transducer or the test piece and then pressed into a thin layer.  For optimum coupling, it is important that the couplant layer be thin.
