An asbestos surveys for Nestlé facilities in Egypt (3 facilities). The survey was done according to the guidelines of Environmental Protection Agency of the United States (USEPA). Designed and implemented sampling programme for suspected homogenous construction materials, and supervised laboratory analysis to determine asbestos containing materials. Client: Nestlé ? Phase I and Phase II environmental Due Diligence Assessment for a major tyre manufacturing company, according to ASTM standards for Environmental Site Assessments (ESA). The work included identification of environmental issues and concerns, documents review, environmental liability assessment, assessment of environmental upgrading technical and financial requirements, collection of soil sampling from different depths, installation of piezometers and collection of groundwater samples, and surveying works. Client: Michlin / Tauw Environnment ? Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) for two warehouses according to ASTM standards. The work included identification of environmental aspects and issues, documents review, environmental liability assessment. Client: Kodak / CAT Alliance ? Survey on End of Life Vehicles (ELV) management procedures in Saudi Arabia and UAE. Contacted Ministries of Environment, Municipalities and Chamber of Commerce in the two countries to obtain technical, legal, institutional and economic aspects of ELV management. The work also included research on specific environmental policies of major automobile manufacturers, and specific policies toward ELV. Client: Environmental Resources Management (ERM) Japan ? Due Diligence assessment for a large cement factory in North Sinai. The assessment was based on documents review in order to identify environmental issues, especially those related to conformity with legal requirements. Client: Sinai White Cement / CAT Alliance ? Environmental, health and safety audit for a Cocoa factory in Sohag city in Upper Egypt. The work included reviewing all environmental, health and safety aspects and recommend improvement measures that would upgrade the factory to acceptable European standards, and, accordingly, pave the way for exporting chocolate and cocoa products to Europe. Client: Danish Agency for International Development (DANIDA) /PS Programme ? Detailed procurement audit for a plastic recycling facility in Arish City (in North Sinai), and oil recycling facility in Suez City. The work included detailed verification of the compliance of civil works and the suitability of equipment specifications with a pre-set criteria in the feasibility study of the facility. The Museum aims to establish a state of the art complex of museums and facilities, providing access to a broad range of antiquities information and furnishing its visitors with an enjoyable, entertaining, educational and cultural experience. The Museum will house nearly 130,000 artifacts spanning from pre-dynastic times through to the early Roman period, including the funerary treasures of the King Tutankhamun. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR THE TOSHKA VALLEY PROJECT Kingdom for Agricultural Development (KADCO) ? Egypt, 2004 Based on the Government of Egypt?s aim to developing the South Valley Project, KADCO is planning to reclaim around 100,000 feddans in the south valley (Toshka) area for the production of fruits and vegetables for export to European and local markets. The first phase of this development would include: plantation (12,000 feddans), 4 pack houses, cold storage, storehouse for agrochemicals, maintenance workshops, residential area and possibly an agro-industry to freeze vegetables. The Environmental Impact Assessment includes compiling and reviewing all relevant environmental legislation applicable to the implementation and operation of the project to guarantee compliance of the EIA study with the environmental regulations. A site visit was carried out to perform a baseline study. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR A SANITARY LANDFILL Organization of Waste Recycling and Composting (OWRC) ? Iran, 2004 The objective of the Tehran Solid Waste Management Project (TSWMP) is to assist the Organization for Waste Recycling and Composting (OWRC) in developing a new environmentally and social sound, sanitary landfill site and support pilot operations to improve its current healthcare waste collection and disposal and informal waste recycling practices in the Greater Tehran area. This study also included the preparation of computer modeling of the discharge of the resulting brine in the Gulf of Suez using Cornell Mixing Zone Expert System model (CORMIX) to identify its trajectory in the near-field and far-field, and present design recommendations so as to minimize these potential impacts. Furthermore, the assignment included the preparation of a Sensitivity Mapping Index (SMI) for the proposed brine discharge area was requested. The idea of SMI is to describe the vulnerability of various resources to any pollutant. EIA FOR LPG FILLING PLANT, BENI SUEF INDUSTRIAL ZONE, LIQUIGAZ COMPANY, BENI SUEF, EGYPT LIQUIGAZ Company intends to establish a LPG filling plant to be located in the Beni Suef Industrial Zone. EcoConServ was selected to conduct an EIA to assess of potential environmental impacts of the project, recommend preliminary ways to mitigate any possible negative environmental impacts caused by the plant, and to give advice on how to comply with the requirements of Environmental Law 4/1994 and its executive regulations. PROPOSED DRILLING OPERATION ASSESSMENT, APACHE CORP., WESTERN DESERT, EGYPT EcoConServ was selected by Apache Oil Co. to conduct an EIA for an oil production operation in the Western Desert. EcoConServ conducted a comprehensive study and provided advice on mitigating negative impacts. ENVIRONMENTAL SITE SELECTION REVIEW STUDY FOR LNG PLANT, BG INTERNATIONAL AND ENTEC UK, EGYPT EcoConServ was contracted to conduct an Environmental Site Selection Review. BP AMOCO EGYPT OIL CO., EGYPT EcoConServ was hired to assist BP AMOCO EGYPT OIL in the preparation of emission and waste forecasts for the consortium?s Egyptian facilities. The aim of this work was to assist the client in progressively reducing the scale of its emissions and wastes. PROPOSED ONSHORE DISPOSAL OF DREDGING MATERIALS, DAMIETTA LNG JETTY PROJECT, HAMZA ASSOCIATES EcoConServ signed with Hamza Associates to perform an EIA for an intended on-shore disposal area for dredging materials. The project included the construction of an inland disposal area for the dredged material resulting from the LNG jetty construction at Damietta port. The purpose of this disposal area was to retain the resulting dredged solid materials (clay and sand) and to allow carrier water to be released from the disposal area back to the sea. The nature of the job was a phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment, included limited sampling. BASELINE SURVEY OF OIL POLLUTION ISSUES, REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (REMIP), JAPAN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AGENCY (JICA), EGYPT EcoConServ was selected to conduct a baseline survey of oil pollution issues as a preparatory activity under the Regional Environmental Management Improvement Project (REMIP). The project area is the Gulf of Suez, Gulf of Aqaba, Suez Canal and part of the Red Sea. The scope of work included: collection of existing data and information, related to oil pollution in the study area, on the following: policy and legislation, socio-economic profiles, oil pollution situation, current measures against oil pollution, institutions associated with oil pollution, visiting and interviewing concerned institutions and relevant personnel, preparing the survey report. REVIEW AND ENVIRONMENTAL FOLLOW-UP OF EIA FOR TINA- ABU SULTAN 30" AND DAHSHOUR- KURAIMAT 36? PIPELINES FOR EGYPTIAN NATURAL GAS CO. (GASCO), EGYPT EcoConServ was contracted by Egyptian Natural Gas Co. (GASCO) to conduct a review of Environmental Impact Assessments for the Tina-Abu Sultan 30" and Dahshour-Kuraimat 36? pipelines and to carry out environmental follow up and monitoring during the construction phase. The marina is planned to be the largest private sector marina constructed at the Red Sea. Facilities offered to boats, yachts, and ships include fueling, potable water supply, electricity supply, sewage disposal, fresh food and beverages outlets, facilities to process and store fish, and a yard. TECHNICAL DESIGN SERVICES AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDY FOR AL ANZ LAGOON PORT GHALIB, MARSA ALAM, RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was selected to conduct an EIA study and carry out full technical design services for the creation of the lagoon at Al Anz in Marsa Alam. The assignment included the collection of geological, climatic, physical, topographical and hydrological data, as well as the design of a preliminary approach to development of a mathematical model for water quality assessment, preparation of a preliminary design, and finalization of the detailed design. ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING & ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR ABU SOMA TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was hired to conduct an environmental baseline survey, and to design and implement a longer-term monitoring program for the project as an attempt to maintain the present environmental quality of the site, and to minimize the risk of environmental degradation of the bay?s marine resources. The project is located between Safaga and Hurghada on the Red Sea Coast. The project contains a fully integrated utility system including a large capacity electric power station, a desalination plant, and a sewage treatment plant. CONSULTING SERVICES FOR RESORT DEVELOPMENT, TRAVCO RESORTS AND HOTELS (STAR RESORT), GULF OF AQABA, EGYPT Star Resort is located near Sharm El Sheikh City, overlooking the adjacent Nabq Natural Protectorate Area. EcoConServ was contracted to prepare an EIA study for the proposed resort development, and to recommend environmental impact easing measures. The EIA included a detailed analysis of the project?s infrastructure components. In addition, EcoConServ studied relevant environmental elements, including physical, chemical, biological and socio-cultural factors. COASTAL BEACH IMPROVEMENT STUDY, EMAK MARSA ALAM, RED SEA, EGYPT The client?s aim was to undertake beach improvements along the coast of Port Ghalib development sites. EcoConServ conducted an EIA study on activities involved in these improvements, such as grading, trimming, slope adjustment, and installation of walkway pavements and stairs between two improved levels. NATURAL BEACH SWIMMING POOLS STUDY, EMAK MARSA ALAM. RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was hired to conduct an EIA study on the construction of seven natural beach swimming pools in Port Ghalib, representing the first phase of the Al Jazirah Al Hamrah development. The objective of the project was to provide tourists with safe swimming areas along the seashore substituting the open sea because of its shallow reef flat. MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR GABAL ELBA PROTECTED AREA, EGYPTIAN-ITALIAN ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM The project was aimed at designing a plan for developing and improving the management of the protected area. EcoConServ was contracted to identify priority actions to be undertaken for the conservation of the Elba ecosystem, and to implement a project so that the Elba National Park (ENP) is engraved in the system, while at the same time providing a sustainable flow of natural products and services. The document included environmental audits for each of the assessed factories, covering pollution problems faced by the industrial establishments and recommending sound and efficient solutions as well as strategies to reduce energy consumption. POLLUTION PREVENTION AUDIT, FARM FRITES FACTORY, 10TH OF RAMADAN INDUSTRIAL CITY, EGYPT EcoConServ recommended the adoption of a ?pollution prevention? approach, which promoted reducing in-plant losses so that the capacity of any end-of-pipe treatment facility would be kept to a minimum. The firm recommended a few low-cost interventions, which saved the client money and reduced the pollution load of the final effluent. EIA FOR NEW FACILITY CONSTRUCTION, UNITED COMPANY FOR FISH PRODUCTS, ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT EcoConServ prepared an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study on the construction and operation of a new facility for producing fish-related products. The report was addressed to and approved by the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) and the Competent Administrative Authority (CAA). EIA FOR THE WADI POULTRY FEED FACTORY, NEW NUBARIA INDUSTRIAL CITY, EGYPT EcoConServ prepared an Environmental Impact Assessment for the Wadi Poultry Feed Factory. The study mainly tackled the possible impacts such an activity could have on the environment and the need for mitigating measures such as recycling and dust collection to ensure that the factory operates in an environmentally sound manner. IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INTEGRATED ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (IEMS) IN 10TH OF RAMADAN INDUSTRIAL CITY/USAID, EGYPT The Egyptian Environmental Policy Program/Program Support Unit (EEPP/PSU) hired EcoConServ to implement the proposed IEMS in 10th of Ramadan Industrial City. The IEMS aims to prevent pollution from industrial sources by establishing an environmental body responsible for strengthening regulatory enforcement, economic incentives, and voluntary compliance. The objectives of the contract were to assess the clients? existing production systems (including raw materials, processes, and finished products), to recommend economical environmentally sound opportunities, to increase productivity and profitability, and to reduce environmental emissions and hazards. CONSULTING SERVICES & PREPARATION OF AN EIA REPORT FOR THE SUEZ SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE, SUEZ, EGYPT The Suez Special Economic Zone (SSEZ) is one of the largest and most important industrial development projects being undertaken in Egypt. EcoConServ was selected to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment report stating the effect that such an industrial development would have on the environment. EIA FOR PROPOSED DRILLING OPERATIONS, APACHE OIL CO., WESTERN DESERT, EGYPT EcoConServ was selected by Apache Oil Co. to conduct an EIA for an oil production operation in the Western Desert. EcoConServ conducted a comprehensive study and provided advice on mitigating negative impacts. INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT CONCEPTUAL DESIGN, DSM ANTI-INFECTIVES COMPANY, CAIRO, EGYPT The client contracted EcoConServ to assess the technical and financial feasibility of constructing an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (IWWTP) at its factory. This assignment primarily included the preparation of a conceptual design for a proposed wastewater treatment plant with an average daily capacity of 115 cubic meters, such that it would comply with current environmental standards and regulations. In addition, during project implementation, EcoConServ also facilitated the financing of this project. EVALUATION REPORT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND HYGIENIC COMPLIANCE TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS, CROWN COCOA FACTORY IN SOHAG CITY, PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT (PSD) PROGRAMME/DANIDA, SOHAG, EGYPT DANIDA contracted EcoConServ to conduct an environmental special study of the Crown Cocoa Factory in Sohag. The goal of the special study was to identify the required environmental and hygienic improvement measures to be taken in the factory in order to achieve compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In identifying these improvements, EcoConServ helped the client realize its strategy to meet relevant European standards and accordingly pave the way for exporting to the European market. STUDY OF CONDITION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR THE DELTA FOAM COMPANY, PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT (PSD) PROGRAMME/DANIDA, 10TH OF RAMADAN CITY, EGYPT EcoConServ was contracted by DANIDA to perform a special study to examine the indoor environment at Delta Foam Company, located in 10th of Ramadan Industrial City. EcoConServ performed a baseline survey of the important elements of the work environment, focusing on the levels of internal and external noise, internal dust and external emissions, and machine safety. In Phase Four, EcoConServ tested the effectiveness of technical solutions and performed the same measurements as in Phase One to evaluate the conditions following implementation of the suggested interventions. STATUS OF OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE TO CHEMICALS AND COMPLIANCE IN EGYPTIAN LARGE AND MEDIUM SCALE INDUSTRY, EPAP, EGYPT EcoConServ was contracted by the Egyptian Pollution Abatement Program to conduct a study reflecting the status of the occupational exposure of workers in large and medium scale industry to different types of chemicals used during the production phases. The report shall provide the best available estimates for a number of indicators including number of registered occupational acute and chronic diseases related to exposure to industrial pollution; status on the enforcement and compliance in the industry sector; brief description on the overlapping roles of Ministry of Manpower and EEAA; and last but not least discuss the major problems and typical pollutants related to occupational problems in industry. Egypt, 2003 Serena Beach Hotel Company acquired 516.60 meters of coastline along the Red Sea coast intended for the construction of a five star hotel (Radisson SAS Hotel at El Quseir). The developer established a raised lagoons system, comprising two artificial lagoons connected by two water streams, to serve the hotel on an approximate area of about 3,500 m2. The design of the lagoon system has a main target of maintaining good water quality suitable for bathing and recreational purposes. Accordingly developing a water quality model would help achieve a suitable water circulation system. The hydro-dynamic model and design services were jointly executed with Hedeselskabet A/S. GULF OF AQABA ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION PLAN (GAEAP) World Bank ? Egypt, 2001 The Egyptian Gulf of Aqaba Environmental Action Plan (GAEAP), focuses on prevention of further environmental degradation of coastal areas, coral reefs and marine ecosystems while promoting sustainable economic development. The GAEAP is implemented in line with the framework of the National Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan. The elements of the GAEAP included institutional strengthening, enforcement of legal and regulatory framework through decentralization at the South Sinai Governorate level, management of marine pollution, flood and earthquake protection, water and wastewater management, solid waste management, protected area management, public awareness and environmental education, and assurance of sustainability of environmental protection in the Gulf of Aqaba. For another component of the assignment, EcoConServ proposed the necessary actions and institutional set-up needed for managing a sound and effective environmental protection mechanism in the Gulf of Aqaba region. EIA FOR PORT GHALIB MARINA, MARSA ALAM FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT (EMAK), RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was selected to conduct an EIA for the proposed marina, to highlight the findings of the assessment and to make recommendations to minimize the associated environmental risks. The marina is planned to be the largest private sector marina constructed at the Red Sea. Facilities offered to boats, yachts, and ships include fueling, potable water supply, electricity supply, sewage disposal, fresh food and beverages outlets, facilities to process and store fish, and a yard. TECHNICAL DESIGN SERVICES AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDY FOR AL ANZ LAGOON PORT GHALIB, MARSA ALAM, RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was selected to conduct an EIA study and carry out full technical design services for the creation of the lagoon at Al Anz in Marsa Alam. The assignment included the collection of geological, climatic, physical, topographical and hydrological data, as well as the design of a preliminary approach to development of a mathematical model for water quality assessment, preparation of a preliminary design, and finalization of the detailed design. ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING & ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR ABU SOMA TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was hired to conduct an environmental baseline survey, and to design and implement a longer-term monitoring program for the project as an attempt to maintain the present environmental quality of the site, and to minimize the risk of environmental degradation of the bay?s marine resources. The project is located between Safaga and Hurghada on the Red Sea Coast. The project contains a fully integrated utility system including a large capacity electric power station, a desalination plant, and a sewage treatment plant. EIA FOR TRAVCO RESORTS AND HOTELS (STAR RESORT), GULF OF AQABA, EGYPT Star Resort is located near Sharm El Sheikh city, overlooking the adjacent Nabq Natural Protectorate Area. EcoConServ was contracted to prepare an EIA study for the proposed resort development, and to recommend environmental impact easing measures. The EIA included a detailed analysis of the project?s infrastructure components. In addition, EcoConServ studied relevant environmental elements, including physical, chemical, biological and socio-cultural factors. The objective of the project was to provide tourists with safe swimming areas along the seashore substituting the open sea because of its shallow reef flat. EIA FOR WALKWAYS CONSTRUCTION, MARSA ALAM FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT (EMAK), RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ conducted an EIA study for the construction of four walkways to provide tourists with safe access to the open sea. The design concept of the walkways is such that tourists can swim, snorkel and SCUBA dive while having minimum impacts on the fragile coral reefs and marine life. ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING PROGRAM FOR PORT GHALIB MARINA, MARSA ALAM FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT (EMAK), RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was contracted to formulate an Environmental Monitoring Program during the construction phase of the project to measure, monitor, and assess the ecosystem at the site, primarily for water quality, sedimentation, and coral reef and marine flora and fauna. EcoConServ extended its services to include an environmental register and a Marine Life Monitoring Program, which is a special monitoring program designed to assess marine biodiversity at the site and to detect changes in marine life caused by development activities. REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT, NABQ TOURISM CENTER, GULF OF AQABA, EGYPT EcoConServ was selected to review an existing EIA in order to cover all facets of the project. Areas of particular concern identified by EcoConServ included the development of a marina, construction of jetties and the construction of inland waterways. The Nabq Tourism Center is close to two protectorates: Ras Mohamed National Park and the Nabq Managed Resource Protected Area. Subsequently, the study offered several solutions to the barriers placed by regulations controlling land development near the protectorates, and physical constraints presented by the natural environment of the Gulf of Aqaba. THE NUBIAN VILLAGE CONCRETE WALKWAY ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT REPORT, NABQ, RED SEA, EGYPT EcoConServ was selected by the Nabq Tourist Center, Tropicana for Projects Company to assess the coastal area in front of the Nubian Village at Nabq Tourist Center northwest of Sharm El Sheikh. The aim of this study was to evaluate, and where possible to quantify, any environmental damage that might have occurred or would likely occur as a result of the establishment of a concrete walkway over the reef flat. A series of alternative options, including modifications to the existing design were suggested in the study. FORMULATION OF THE MIDDLE EAST NATURAL RESOURCES AND DESERTIFICATION INITIATIVE/WORLD BANK EcoConServ was involved in the formulation of the World Bank Initiative to Control Natural Resources Degradation and Desertification in the Middle East (Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Palestinian Territories and Israel). The survey covers the existing facilities in the West Zone and their generation rates. The survey determines the actual number of establishments (private/public) in the West Zone of Cairo. The tasks included as well delineating procedures for waste collection, collection route and frequency of waste collection, vehicle washing and sanitation, vehicle maintenance, inspection, and operation schedules, procedures for waste treatment, procedures for environmental monitoring at the treatment facility, and for treated waste residues disposal at designated landfill site. Egypt, 2001 Funded by the World Bank and FINNIDA, EPAP in cooperation with the Commercial International Bank of Egypt (CIB) planned to implement an environmental training module. The CIB is one of the largest private sector banks in Egypt. The environmental training module was initiated to enable the assessment of industrial projects with regards to environmental risks and opportunities. This module was then incorporated within the CIB credit training course delivered internally. The environmental training course could be utilized by other banking institutions and could form the basis to train the trainers of other banks in Egypt. This environmental training course was the first environmental training course of its kind for the banking sector in Egypt. STUDY ON URBAN PLANNING PROCESS AND INSTITUTIONAL ANALYSIS FOR THE CAIRO GOVERNORATE, CAIRO URBAN POVERTY PROJECT/DFID, EGYPT EcoConServ was contracted by DFID to formulate a document describing and analyzing the existing institutional setup of the Cairo Governorate, placing emphasis on the roles and responsibilities of the different departments and directorates in addition to clarifying the urban planning processes within the Governorate. The outcome of the report would facilitate the identification of the most suitable institutional framework to work within to achieve the required impact on policy development. The project aims to upgrade environmental conditions and improve the sanitary drainage system in one of the deprived districts of the South Zone of Cairo Governorate. FIELD STUDY TO REVIEW AND RECOMMEND WAYS OF IMPROVEMENT FOR THE HAZARDOUS HEALTHCARE WASTE MANAGEMENT IN YEMEN. SOCIAL FUND FOR DEVELOPMENT, YEMEN EcoConServ was contracted by the Social Fund for Development in Yemen to provide technical assistance in the area of Hazardous HealthCare Waste Management.. The deliverables of this assignment are (i) Conducting a field study on the existing healthcare waste collection and disposal management system generated by the healthcare establishments highlighting recommendations and ways of improvement, (ii) reviewing and recommending ways to improve the design of the incinerator for treatment of Hazardous Healthcare Waste generated by the establishments mentioned in the field survey, (iii) reviewing the tender documents prepared for the Incinerator Plant Project highlighting ways for improvement, and (iv) prepare a manual of operations for collection, treatment, and disposal of Hazardous Healthcare Waste Management stating the required technical and administrative tools and capacity for efficient performance. FEASIBILITY STUDY ON THE FUTURE OF CAIRO HOUSE, EEAA, DANIDA EcoConServ was contracted by the Environmental Sector Programme at Danida to offer consultancy services to the Communication Environmental Management (CEM) Component in conducting a feasibility study for Cairo House. The objectives of the feasibility study are to come up with options for sustainable future use of the Cairo House, to identify the financial future and sustainability of Cairo House, draft a financial plan for a selected option (one of those proposed by the consultant), and prepare a two year draft activity plan for Cairo House. EcoConServ's study should include a section on the background information on Cairo House, a brief concept paper delineating the different options for operating and sustaining Cairo House, a detailed feasibility study for the preferred proposed option, and propose terms of references or implementation plan for future actions. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE NATIONAL BANK OF EGYPT IN UPGRADING ITS ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND CAPACITY BUILDING. EGYPTIAN ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES FUND (EEIF)/CIDA EcoConServ agreed to cooperate with Market Insight to provide environmental technical assistance to the National Bank of Egypt as per the latter's contract with the EEIF. EcoConServ is responsible for (i) drafting the Terms of References for the NBE's Environmental Department; (ii) performing training needs assessment, development of training materials, and delivery of training; (iii) drafting an environmental awareness campaign among the personnel of NBE. FINAL EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STRATEGIC ACTION PROGRAMME FOR THE RED SEA AND GULF OF ADEN, REGIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR THE CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE RED SEA AND GULF OF ADEN, PERSGA, GEF EcoConServ was contracted to analyse the SAP's attainment of global environmental objectives, outcomes, impacts, project objectives, and completion of project outputs and activities. The evaluation of the project is performed according to the GEF Project Review Criteria which are: Implementation Approach, Country ownership/Driveness, Stakeholder participation/Public Involvement, Sustainability, Replication Approach, Financial Planning, and Cost effectiveness.
