The letters E-D-A-N-Astand for “European Disposables and NonwovensAssociation”, but nowadays we promote thebenefits of all nonwovens - whether they go intoshort-life or long-life end-uses.EDANA also provides a home for special end-userelated items, like hygiene absorbent products,superabsorbents, etc.What is EDANA ?>EDANA is managed by a Board of Governorswhich is elected by, and is responsible to mem-bership.The governors come from different countrieslocated in Europe, Middle East and Africa andrepresent the nonwovens industry and its suppliers. Their companies:3 make nonwovens, whether drylaid, spunlaid,wetlaid, airlaid or other types of nonwovens;3 convert nonwovens into various types of finishedproducts;3 supply fibres, chemicals or equipment to thenonwovens or to the converting industries.How is EDANA managed ??>2 3p a g e 3EDANA was founded in 1971, and has beenbased in Brussels ever since.As a non-profit making trade association it isproud of its Belgian Royal Decree.
