EK - Weather & Droplet Control (WDC) - Datasheet

The WDC assesses the live weather conditions from a Vaisala weather station and sends a signal via a PLC to the VFD to increase or reduce the atomizer RPM according to wind speed and direction. The atomizer hub spins at optimum RPMs at all times to create waterdroplet spectra between 20-50 microns that efficiently maximize water evaporation. The Gladiator atomizer speeds are programmed to automatically slow when the wind speed increases or when the direction changes to a set path. The WDC will shut down automatically in any extreme weather condition, including high humidity (rain), low temperature, or high wind gust.
