All our electro scanning products will be developed and supported in compliance with ASTM F2550-06 Standard Practice for Locating Leaks in Sewer Pipes Using Electro-Scan–the Variation of Electric Current Flow Through the Pipe Wall. For data management, Electro Scan Inc. will adhere to industry accepted standards for smartphones and cloud computing, Software as a Service (SaaS), multi-tenant, hosted architecture.

Electro Scan Inc. Will Offer End-to-End Solutions
When combined, Electro Scan Inc. products will offer an end-to-end solution — both streamlining data from the field to the office and life cycle asset management –installation, evaluation, remediation analysis, rehabilitation, and warranty.

Using the latest in smartphone and software as a service (SaaS) technologies, supported by a 24/7 hosted environment, Electro Scan Inc.’s product portfolio will capture, display, process, store, and report quantitative data (i.e. no visual or subjective observations) that identifies defects that can leak — assisting plumbers, property owners, and sewer utilities eliminate sewer back-ups and sanitary sewer overflows. Utilizing complex data algorithms and proprietary technologies, Electro Scan Inc. will dramatically improve the ability of plumbers, sewer utilities, sewer contractors, and engineering firms to determine the number and severity of leaks in sewer mains and laterals.

Finally, Electro Scan Inc. will become the primary source for sewer utilities and contractors to certify the effectiveness of rehabilitation projects — ensuring proposed remediation actions deliver leak-free solutions.

Electro Scan Inc. Will Overhaul the Sewer Pipeline Evaluation Market
Legacy sewer inspection techniques, such as CCTV, Smoke Testing, Dye Flood Testing, Laser Scanning, and Sonar Inspection, DO NOT detect all sources of infiltration. Since CCTV, Laser Scanning, and Sonar cannot “see” into joints and service connections, sewer utilities are missing the opportunity to correctly diagnose the extent and magnitude of infiltration problems.

Sewer utilities, consulting engineers, and customers are demanding evaluation tools that can provide complete analytics that lead to long-term solutions; instead of relying on outdated evaluation techniques that offer an incomplete or misleading profile of sewer defects. As a result, an overhaul of the current sewer evaluation industry is needed.

Electro Scan uses a simple fact — pipe defects that leak water also leak electricity. Electro Scan Inc.’s proprietary technology can detect leaks whether or not water infiltration is occurring at the time; not possible with any other currently available evaluation method.
