SVE arresters pro-vide an economical solution for situations where a simple light weight product is required. Typical applications include gas purging of equipment, sample lines and instrumentation lines.www.elmactechnologies.comPrinciple of OperationThe SVE series of fl ame arresters use elements with small apertures which allow gases or vapours to pass. During a defl agration the combustion products are cooled at the ele-ment surface by heat dissipation, which prevents continuation of the combustion process through the arrester and into the protected vent line.Standards ComplianceAll Elmac defl agration arresters have been tested and certifi ed in accordance with national or international standards.Actual device performance is verifi ed in the Elmac Technologies “state of the art” in-house test facility.Benefi ts• Available in sizes from 15mm to 50mm nominal bore• Suitable for gases in explosion groups up to IIB3• Lightweight arresters in stainless steel• BSP/NPT screwed connections in accordance with ISO7-1 and ISO7-2• Optional weatherhood for environmental protection• The Elmac team can advise on specifi c location queriesExplosion GroupsElmac end-of-line defl agration arresters in the SVE series are ATEX approved for gases in Explosion Groups IIA1, IIA, IIB1, IIB2 and IIB3.Elmac ExpertiseElmac have been manufacturing protection equipment since 1948, and bring enhanced levels of fl ame and explosion protection to a diverse range of applications.
