Our competent engineers deliver and install the latest software, make customizations, inves-tigate migration possibilities and give hard-ware recommendations.tt Pipe bend thickness is checked regularly as part of our survey and maintenance service.t Global spare parts handling ensures reliable delivery.qRegular software update is part of our survey and maintenance service.5Our set of tuning and control services covers activities on the “as-built” system to main-tain performance at, or above design levels. Tuning and Control is normally performed when the system is commissioned and should be repeated when changes are in-troduced, such as valve addition, inlet relo-cation etc., as well as after some years of operations. Envac Services use a holistic system approach covering every component of your installation. Specific conditions, e.g. amount of waste, or its composition as well as energy consumption, will be examined and subject to adjustment and tuning until an optimal, stable and efficient operations mode is obtained.Capacity ControlOver time, real capacity needs may change and consequently the system will need to be readapted. Capacity increase or decrease in portions of the pipe and inlet network or in the terminal may be necessary in order to re-establish optimal operation. An automated waste handling system with several fractions/waste streams needs to be tuned. Performing a capacity control and tuning of each fraction handling as well as the whole system is vital to achieve relia-ble and cost efficient system performance.Performance ControlThe most important parameter of an Envac system is the air speed. We need a high enough air speed to transport all waste put into the system and low enough air speed to minimize wear and tear. Our competence and our skills will guarantee that your system is balanced and efficient with long durability, without unnecessary wear and tear.Reporting and Data ControlOne important step in creating value through waste removal is to have figures in hand. Data is collected and analyzed through our daily operations and mainte-nance and serves as a basis for any nec-essary tuning. With Envac’s reporting and data control you can be sure to know how your system performs and you can easily see the benefits and gains.Tuning & ControlHow we adapt your installation to changing realitiesu Several waste streams require system tuning.u Frequency converters ensure optimal exhauster operations.u Internet customer log-in pages allow access to reports and data.6With our performance assess-ment services we offer our full range of skills, knowledge and competence acquired through years of experience working with automated waste handling systems. Envac engineers and technicians form a team to bring solutions to any aspect of your waste handling system and allow you to easily re-evaluate your automated waste handling system. The purpose and benefit is to produce in-put data and prerequisites for your decision. For instance over the years the behavioral pattern of users may change and so can lo-cal legislation and regulation. There may be an increased demand for fraction collection or a tighter need of control when it comes to certain waste streams (enhancing purity). Questions concerning enhanced recycling, increased capacity or energy saving meas-ures as well as user information campaigns are recurrent issues. The Basic Assessment is the first step and depends partly on availability of system statistics and historic data.Increased capacity and evolution assessmentAfter years of operation an Envac automat-ed waste handling system may need to be readapted to the actual situation. Adapta-tions will result in significant improvements in both capacity and energy consumption.Environmental AssessmentsEnvac engineers can assess the environ-mental impact of your automated waste handling system and make proposals on how to reduce the impact even further. We also offer environmental comparisons with other collection methods. We compare dif-ferent environmental impacts and conduct cost comparisons such as annual operat-ing costs of different handling methods.Performance AssessmentWhen you need new decision groundsEnergy consumption (monthly/weekly)• Total waste flow per fraction (ton/month/week)• Service statistics • Getting your organic waste pure enough to • be used for biogas productionFor your waste collection needs to adhere • to new recycling goalsBasic Assessments Improved Environmental goalsp Envac engineers and technicians form a team to offer our performance assessment services.7Valdelasfuentes (Kwh/ton avfall)MålVeckorKwh2001501005000 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 52200920082010Energy Efficiency AssessmentsA vital factor of an automated waste han-dling system is the consumption of electrical power. Having Envac engineers assessing the system and proposing actions in order to adjust and maximize energy efficiency is essential for continued cost efficient and environmentally friendly operations. Older systems can easily be adapted and complemented with equipment and soft-ware to reduce energy consumption. By in-stalling frequency inverters we can reduce electric energy peaks. By installing updated control equipment we can operate the plant at minimum energy consumption. Install-ing level sensors in inlets together with our VDOT system (Valve Dynamic Open Time) reduce the required amount of energy. In order to reach optimal use and thereby ensure cost efficient operations a number of factors are being looked at.Waste stream controlWaste stream, or fraction handling change overtime. The purity of the collected recyclables needs to be enhanced; adding a new waste stream for recycling may be desired in all such cases. Envac Services offer assistance to readapt your system to a new situation. User information campaignsIt is important to make sure that users are well-informed about what can be disposed of in the vacuum system and what cannot. If there is a blockage in the pipe, it is most likely caused by an object too large for the system. From our experience we can tell that the more the users know about how the system works the better the system will perform. We can help you formulate information packages and communication campaigns and to prepare pedagogical in-formation to increase the recycling rate. We have many years of experience in creating customized information packages.Run-time schedule including level sensors• Electrical tariff & electrical supplier contract• Valve, air leakage & pressure drop• Heat recovery• Exhauster operations• Hardware/Software• Waste stream• p Information campaigns and user information material are essential to a successful Envac installation.Energy saving factors:p Reduction in energy consumption at the Valdelasfuentes installation in Madrid.8We put special emphasis on the ethical behavior of our staff through our code of conduct.
