Our Phase I Environ-mental Site Assessments (ESA) are conducted in accordance with current American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards. Con-dor’s environmental professionals have a broad depth of experience evaluating many different properties with varied historical uses. This com-bination of experience and approach maximizes the value of our services to our clients by pro-viding essential business risk management in-formation. Phase II Environmental Site Assessments If the Phase I ESA identifies potential environ-mental hazards on a site, Condor can follow up with a more in-depth study known as a Phase II ESA. The Phase II study typically consists of on-site soils, surface, and/or groundwater test-ing and evaluation to determine the extent and nature of potential contamination identified in the Phase I ESA. Site Characterization and EvaluationCondor views site characterization work as the foundation for understanding project issues and concerns. We strive for well thought out plans and procedures that keep project goals in mind. Contingency planning is critical in char-acterization work as project goals may change midstream based on new information. Flexibil-ity and vision are key skills that our staff pos-sesses. Our site characterization and evaluation expe-rience includes oil, soil-gas, and groundwater plume characterization utilizing some of the fol-lowing investigative methods: • Excavation, drilling: sonic, direct push, dual tube, air rotary, mud rotary, auger (solid, hollow, bucket), rock core • Discrete depth groundwater sampling • Groundwater monitor well design, installation, development, sampling, and re-conditioning • Fate and transport modeling • Aquifer Characterization and Analysis • Soil and Surface Water-Quality Investigations In cases where leaking Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) are known or suspected, the cost associated with cleaning up the UST site is often daunting, placing a heavy burden on property owners. We provide the administrative services to walk eligible clients through the California Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund re-imbursement process. Environmental Monitoring and RemediationWhen environmental site investigations reveal the presence of contaminants that pose a poten-tial risk to human health or the environment, remediation of the contamination is impera-tive prior to further public use or development. Condor has decades of experience in design and implementation of remediation activities for soil, soil-gas, and groundwater contamination, including the development of technically sound and cost-effective alternatives, the implementa-tion and oversight of remediation, and post-re-mediation monitoring and reporting. Our back-ground includes hazardous waste sites, waste water treatment plants, landfills, waste manage-ment units, and UST sites.Continued from side one...
