F&R Worldwide demonstrated its ability to provide a high-volume of quality reports in a relatively short period of time. ? Responsibilities included: multiple environmental assessments on storage depots, tanks farms, oil processing facilities, injection stations, compressor stations, oil recovery plants, extraction facilities, gas stations and oil terminals.? During BM II, sampling was carried out by the Environmental and Drilling teams. Following lab tests, results were interpreted according to Romanian and European legislation. ? All assessment activities were governed by the regulations and procedures of the Romanian Ministry of the Environment and Waters Management? F&R Worldwide performed the Risk Assessment Studies for Railways facilities in Bucharest and Arad. ? Site analyses were focused mainly on soil and groundwater quality.? Modelling of the pollutants’ spatial distribution was performed based on the test results. ? All activities were governed by the regulations and procedures of Romanian Ministry of the Environment and Waters Management.? Feasibility (Technical/Economical) Studies for evaluation of local pollution levels and identification the most suitablemethod for decontamination soil/groundwater in 8 former PECO Depots? Activities included:- topographical survey, site investigations and lab tests for a series of soil and water samples, collected from the areas with the greatest exposure to pollution;- reporting tests results to legal provisions;- monitoring wells execution and pump tests, with results interpretation in order to set up the local hydro geological parameters;- pollution plume modeling, using Modflow software, to forecast future presumptive extension/spreading of pollution;- remediation method selection, using as the input data all the specific results from each study.- financial estimation for applying the selected method.? Feasibility (Technical/Economical) Study for evaluation of local pollution levels and identification of the most suitable method for remediation of the soil quality, within an oil field extraction area- Bulbuceni. The land needed remediation in order to be reused for agricultural purposes.? Activities included:- site investigations and lab tests for a series of soil and water samples, collected from the most visible polluted areas ;- agrochemical and pedological investigations on soil samples;- reporting tests results to legal provisions;- remediation method selection, using as the input data all the specific results from each study- financial estimation for applying the selected method.?
