Problem
Any vendor/manufacturer is by law obliga-
ted to take back their EPS packaging mate-
rial. This has presented many EPS produc-
ers, waste collectors and recyclers with the
challenge of handling the EPS waste without
spending too much time and money on trans-
porting “air”.
Solution
A Mil-tek EPS 1800 is installed at the
unloading site so that the machine can be
fed directly - manually or by conveyer belt.
Despite variations in material a volume re-
duction of at least 20 to 1 can be achieved.
The compressed EPS blocks can easily be
stacked on pallets and sent for recycling.

Problem
Most computers and hardware arrive wrapped
in EPS. Many computer vendors are therefore
stuck with huge amounts of EPS material. As
part of their customer service, many companies
also take back the EPS and cardboard waste af-
ter the installation. Handling this waste is often a
big problem for these companies
Solution
A Mil-tek EPS 900 compactor is installed
close to the unwrapping/unloading area
allowing for the EPS material to be put di-
rectly into the compactor when unpacking
or upon returning with the empty packaging
from the customers.
Problem
EPS boxes are the most common packaging
material for fresh food. For hygienic reasons
these EPS boxes cannot be reused and there-
fore the ? sh industry have a big amount of EPS
waste.
Solution
In order to reduce the volume of EPS waste
several companies have chosen the Mil-tek
EPS 1800 compactor. Despite the fact that ? sh
boxes are wet and slimy, they can be put di-
rectly into the compactor, where a reduction
from 40 to 1 is achieved.

Problem
White goods retailers sell refrigerators, dish
washers, stoves, coffee machines etc. In or-
der to protect the goods everything arrives
wrapped in EPS. Obviously these stores have
huge amounts of EPS material.
Solution
The EPS 900 is installed close to the unwrap-
ping area and the EPS material is put directly
into the compactor. This way the material
must only be moved once The EPS 900 can
be placed in a small area as it takes up very
little space.
