Founded in 1973 by John and Léonie Hynds, Hynds Pipe Systems Limited is the largest operating company within the Hynds Group.

Hynds Pipe Systems is split into two operating divisions: Manufacturing and Distribution.

Hynds Concrete Manufacturing operates ten factory sites across New Zealand, producing New Zealand`s largest range of concrete pipe and precast products for civil, rural and infrastructure applications. The company`s quality system is accredited to ISO9001:2000 with both the Auckland and Christchurch pipe plants independently audited. S mark certification is maintained on all spun concrete pipe.

Hynds Pipe Systems Distribution is a network of thirty sales outlets throughout New Zealand servicing contractors, asset owners, farmers and end-users with a comprehensive range of pipes, valves, fittings and other products used for drainage, watermain, environmental, rural and industrial applications. The company sells under the Hynds Drainage, Hynds Water, Hynds Process and Hynds Rural brands.
