Corrosion resistant layer (chemical protection layer), consisting of resin and C-glass veil, thickness about 0,5 mm 2. E-textile glass rovings in the form of cross wound layers, impregnated with resin 3. Corrosion resistant layer outside with resin and polyester veil Wall thickness and number of layers of the reinforcing material according to the requirements. The winding angle is 54°. Glass content in the structural layer is 70 ± 5 % (weight), in the chemical protection- and abrasion layer 25 ± 5 % (weight). Material - Resin/Hardener Phenacrylate resin (vinylester resin)/Organic peroxides (hot curing) - Rovings E-textile glass rovings according to DIN 61855, 1.200/2.400 tex - Veil Inside C-glass veil with a weight per area of approx. 30 g/m² Outside polyester veil with a weight per area of approx. 30 g/m² Fabrication The GRP-pipes are manufactured by filament winding process on the basis of phenacrylate resin (vinyl ester resin). Hot curing occurs in a curing station at a temperature of more than 90° C. This curing results in a thorough impregnation of the elementary fibres. Production lengths of the pipes are approx. 6 m for DN 25-80, 10 m for DN 100 and larger. The available dimensions are DN 25 – DN 1200. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION TPR Fiberdur GmbH & Co. KG. Fixed-flanges up to DN 300 are press moulded or filament wounded. Loose-flanges will be delivered as steel-loose-flanges galv., PP/steel- or GRP-loose-flanges. Material and structure Resin, hardener, reinforcing materials and curing conditions correspond largely to pipe production, additionaly E-textile glass rovings according to DIN 61854 are used. FIBERDUR NOTES FOR PLANNING, CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLTION OF GRP-PIPING SYSTEMS Planning, construction, processing and installation are made according to our guidelines. Connections between pipe and fitting can be made by adhesive bonded couplings (cylindrical or conical) with a two component resin adhesive. Flange connections can be made as fixed-flanges or collar and steel-loose-flange connection. Lamination connection and mechanical couplings can be used without any problems. For adhesive EP 220, always mix the total quantities for each charge. Alternative mixing proportions are not permitted. The hardener is added to the resin and both components thoroughly mixed in the container. The adhesive is ready for use when mixture is of a uniform consistency.
