Flydog Salla - Submerged Profiling System - Brochure

Our submersed profiler, Salla, operates at the sea bottom, shielded from surface waves and storms, making it particularly suitable for regions affected by winter ice cover. Salla employs a winch to elevate sensors through the water column, capturing continuous, high resolution vertical profiles. Powered by a seabed cable connected to the mainland, Salla transmits measured data to our servers in near real-time. It supports a variety of sensors to measure specific parameters such as temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen. These sensors, sourced from various vendors, can be combined into a comprehensive multi-parameter probe.  Additionally, Salla serves as a central hub, capable of powering external sensors like ADCPs and relaying their data to the mainland, enhancing its utility as a versatile marine research tool.
