Engineers from the company Franken Plastik (FP) invented a secure and flexible sign with a very small surface area that made possible the on-site indication of key data for buried pipelines. These signs identify the size, position and type of pipeline or valve, the code number in the system, possible inspection routines and useful information for monitoring processes, thus providing the comprehensive information necessary for rapid reaction in an emergency situation. The previously established enamel signs, with their fixed lettering for indication, were thus consigned to the history books. The key point from the beginning has been that FP signs offer the customer so many product advantages.
