The dimensionsof the screening unit depend onthe throughput and the composi-tion of the screenings.The FSM drum screen combineshigh performance with low main-tenance costs.Functional principalThe drum screen can be chargedvia feed pipe, free flow supply orscrew conveyor. Material whichdoes not pass through the perfora-tions remains in the screening drumin accordance with hole size. A lineof nozzles assists separation of smallmatter from large matter and was-hes off e.g. adhering grit. Washed offmatter flows through the perforati-ons with the wash water and passesto a collection tank from which itcan be fed to a further treatmentstage. If desired by customer, the scree-ning drum can be provided with aseries of perforations of differingsizes. This enables various fractionswith different grain sizes to be obtai-ned.
