Since the inception of Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) and its extensive modernizing agenda, the establishment of first class drainage and stormwater systems have been a primary objective. Rapid urbanization and the proliferation of high-rise infrastructure, increasing agricultural irrigation and a higher frequency of rain in recent years have culminated in the far reaching USD 2.5 billion Abu Dhabi Stormwater Master Plan, to be implemented in a series of ambitious, far reaching projects stretched across a 15 year timeline.
