When placed on a header and piped to atmosphere, the valve can be used as a pressure relief valve to relieve surge transient pressures. When placed on a header and piped to atmosphere, the valve can be used as a pressure relief valve to relieve surge transient pressures. The solenoid pilot allows the valve to be closed or opened remotely by an electrical control signal.
