Rapid entry of air intothe valve shall be accomplished by having 10% more inflow areathan the equivalent size of the valve.The body of the valve shall be constructed of cast iron conforming to ASTM A126 Class B. The seat ring shall be madeof bronze conforming to ASTM B62. The disc and seat ring shallbe made of bronze conforming to ASTM B62. Tight shutoff shallbe provided by a metal seat with a resilient seal. Internal springshall be stainless steel.The air inlet shall be protected by a stainless steel screen, and steel hood to prevent the entry of foreign materials.
