GFE - Model UG-7 - Detector - Brochure

The UG-7 is a simple and effective solution to monitor smoke presence in ventilation ducts or other HVAC conducts. Based on the Venturi effect, it samples the air by naturally aspirating it through the sampling tube. The sampling tube transports air from the duct to the detector housing, which is fitted just outside the duct, where a smoke detector will sample the air for potential smoke particles. The system fulfils all the requirements for safe fire detection with airflow speeds from 0.5m/s to 20m/s (100ft/min to 4000ft/min), depending on the smoke detector’s sensitivity.  The housing is also available as a version with a taller lid to accommodate larger detectors.
