Parental companionship options A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE INSPIRE CHILDREN TO PURSUE GEOSPATIAL TECHNOLOGIES AND SPACE EXPLORATION The Geospatial Technology Summer Camp (GTSC) offers children in grades 7 to 12 a unique lifetime experience. GTSC introduces them to computer mapping and space explora-tion technologies through real world applica-tions and interactions with their peers from all over the world in group activities. The program is designed to expose participants to creativity and innovation in order to inspire youth towards higher achievement levels in their academic and personal lives. The U.S. Department of Labor identifies geo-spatial technology, along with biotechnology and nanotechnology, as the most promising technology career fields in the USA. Schools, colleges, and universities all over the USA have started to adopt geospatial technology in their academic curricula because they offer a variety of computer visualization and analyti-cal tools for both curiosity-driven scientific re-search and context-driven problem-solving. 21st century skills for young innovators E NTE RTAI NM E N T AND CULT UR AL A CT I V I T I ES TO E NS URE A F UN LE AR NI NG EX P E RIE NCE AT D IS NE Y W O RL D, S E AW O RL D, UN I -VE RS AL S T UDI O S NASA SPACE CAMP In NASA Space Camp, participants will be trained on the various aspects of space technology with frequent hands-on demonstrations. They get to build scale model rockets and actually launch them. They experience 1/6th gravity, high G forc-es, and other simulators like the multi-axis trainer just as actual astronauts do in the course of their training. They are briefed about the importance of the various people in a space mission and their roles and responsibilities. SPACE TRACK: ? Astronaut Simulators Students will spend a total of 4 days exploring Disney World, Univer-sal Studios, and SeaWorld amusement parks. Each park offers a variety of unique perfor-mances, rides, and educational programs. The first two days will be at DisneyWorld’s Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center. Next will be SeaWorld, and the final day of the trip will be spent at Universal Studios.
