HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SURVEY Hazardous Materials Survey in buildings (industrial, commercial, residential) are carried out with the aim of identifying and recording materials which are known to have negative effects on the health of the occupants of the buildings and/or the environment in accordance with international practice. The survey includes a detailed examination of available information about previous uses and construction characteristics of the property, an on site inspection by specialized scientific personnel to identify hazardous materials and the implementation of a comprehensive program of sampling and laboratory analyses. The survey is designed so that the owner of real estate is abiding to its legal obligations for the required due diligence that should be demonstrated regarding hazardous materials and environmental risks associated with its property. The results of the survey are recorded in a detailed Technical Report which shows the existence or not of hazardous materials in accordance with the requirements of applicable law, the quantity of such materials, their hazard assessment, recommendations and cost estimates for their proper and safe management.
