HeadSpace Analysis (HSA) is a technology used for the non-destructive measurement of oxygen concentration/partial pressure, or carbon dioxide concentration/partial pressure, or total pressure conditions inside a container (mainly parenteral packaging). For oxygen sensitive sterile pharmaceutical products, or those which require a modified atmosphere in the container, Headspace Analysis allows verification of container closure integrity as well as monitoring the filling/stoppering process. For media fill tests, the carbon dioxide headspace analyzer represents a reliable technology to monitor any concentration increase of carbon dioxide inside the containers. Since 2004, WILCO’s HSA single station and in-line, high-inspection-capacity systems provide solutions for a wide range of applications with the highest precisions.
