This is done without effort,thanks to the low uncoiling forces.A ratchet mechanism locks the hose in the selected position. The nozzle is thenmanually connected to the vehicle exhaust pipe.After use the nozzle is manually disconnected. A slight pull at the hose makesthe optimised spring mechanism turn the drum so that the hose is coiled on tothe reel.The Hose stop collar stops the drum rotation, making the nozzle stop at a presetheight, in comfortable reach for the operator. Reliable recoilingSpring gear with ball bearings provide maximum spring power and low internalfriction. This results in low uncoiling forces and reliable recoiling of the hose.For a totally even and smooth retraction, reels equipped with a Retractioncontrol are available.Spring recoil reel Nederman automatic damperA patented technical function,operated by drum rotation. When thehose is pulled out, the damper opensfor the airflow.When the hose starts to recoil, thedamper stops the airflow. This leadsto reduced sound level, moreefficient utilisation of fan capacity,and less extraction of heated (orcooled) air. The arm angle can beadjusted for best visibility and receiving conditions.Excellent for heavy hoses and high ceilings Exhaust Hose Reel 865 M with a motor that turns the drum is a convenientsolution for storing and handling long and/or heavy hoses. It is the onlysolution in places where the nozzle must hang out of reach because of overheadcranes, tall vehicles passing, etc.Reel operationA cable connected pendant or a remote IR control is required for operating thereel. Uncoiling and coiling the hose, as well as starting and stopping the fan, isdone from the floor with one of the control units. Both units consist of a handunit and a wall bracket.Control of nozzle positionThe single phase, 24 V DC motor has integrated upper and lower limit switchesthat control the position of the nozzle. The limits are programmed from thefloor, using a control unit.It is also possible to operate the fan and damper via the electric motor unit. Safety at power failureThe programming of the electric motor drive is handled by a processor with anon-volatile memory. This means that no information is lost when a powerfailure occurs. If the power is cut the electro-magnetic brake will lock the druminstantly.Easy adaptationThe motor driven reel is easily adapted to new operational conditions. It ispossible to e.g. extend the hose or modify the reel to suit the other type ofcontrol unit. Electric motor driven reel The pendant control(accessory), connectedto a cable, is used tocontrol one reel.The IR remote controltransmitter (accessory)can be programmed withup to 8 individual codes.This product is designed to meet the requirements ofthe relevant EC directives, and is labelled accordingly.
