InFlow™ W125 – Ducting Adaptor for IQAir®Protective EnvironmentsThe supply of filtered air to aclosed indoor environmentreduces air pollution in that areaby dilution and the creation ofpositive pressure, which reducesthe influx of contaminated airfrom outside the environment. With the InFlow™ adaptor, theIQAir® filtration system is po-sitioned inside the room wherethe clean air is desired.Airborne Infection IsolationAirborne infection control guide-lines for hospitals and otherhealth-care institutions demandthe creation of pressure differen-tials to control the spread ofinfectious airborne micro-organisms and protect patients, staff and visitors. With theInFlow™ connected to a high-efficiency IQAir® system, conta-minated air can be drawn from apatient room creating an air-borne infection isolation areawithin. The negative pressureresults in the effective contain-ment of airborne pathogenswithin the closed room. TheIQAir® system then removes allviruses, bacteria and spores with99.5% efficiency (99.97% @=0.3µm) thus delivering virtuallyparticle-free air to an adjacentarea or the outdoors.Fresh Air VentilationThe delivery of fresh, oxygen-richoutdoor air is essential for thebasic ventilation of indoor envi-ronments. Outdoor air, however, will also contain undesirableairborne contaminants andpollutants. With the help of theInFlow™ ducting adaptorconnected to an IQAir® system, filtered outdoor air can be sup-plied to an indoor environment.Supplying filtered outdoor air toa room reduces indoor pollutantconcentrations and introducesoxygen. Thus the well-being ofthe inhabitants can be increasedconsiderably.Quick and Simple InstallationWith the help of the InFlow™ duc-ting adaptor, every IQAir® systemcan be connected simply andrapidly. For the installation of theInFlow™, only one wall or windowaperture is required. The large dia-meter of the ducting connectionshelps to reduce air resistance. Theflexible ducting tube may be bentin any direction. The indoor air quality (IAQ) improvements that can be achieved with IQAir® devices depend not only on the system performance, but also on factors which are specific to that particular indoor environment, such as room size, type and concentration of contaminants and source intensity. Consult a qualified IAQ specialist to determine an effective and comprehensive IAQ strategy. Source control and ventilationshould be considered first in solving any IAQ problem. The InFlow™ W125 ducting adaptor can be connected to any IQAir® air cleaning system. It enables the system to drawin polluted and contaminated air from outdoors or adjacent rooms. The IQAir® system filters the airborne pollutantsand pathogens and expels the cleaned air to the indoor environment. Thus the InFlow™ ducting adaptor can be usedto provide clean air ventilation, positive pressure isolation or negative pressure containment of harmful particulates. The InFlow™ adaptor connected to anIQAir® system allows contaminated airto be drawn through a wall aperture, cleaned thoroughly, and released intothe room. This enables particle re-ductions in the room air of up to 99%.A special VM InFlow™ is available for wall-mounting the IQAir® System.Base AdaptorFlexible DuctBackdraft DamperWall Duct Protective GrilleBase ExtensionVentDucting ConnectorsIQAir®Positive Pressure Negative Pressure Cleaned AirPolluted AirWallPipe ClampMedical Applications:• Isolation wards• Intensive care units • Burns wards• Operation theatres• Organ transplant units• Oncology wards• Research, IVF andmicrobiologic laboratories• TB isolation and anterooms• Homes of allergy sufferersetc.Commercial Applications:• Cleanrooms and controlledenvironments • Manufacture and packaging of medical devices • Food manufacturing and processing• Air showers/air locks• Cleanrooom dressing rooms• Data storage rooms• Computer and server rooms• Archivesetc.InFlow™ InstallationInstructions1.
