The process is one of the deciding innovations for the repair process with robot systems.After a main sewer has been lined, it is crucial that all service connections are reconnected permanently and tightly. A plastic shield is positioned at the inlet opening with the help of the patented KA-TE shield injection system and a balloon is inserted through the opening in the shield as moulded shuttering. Using the injection attachment the cavity around the balloon is compressed with resin. The shield remains decoupled from the robot at the connection until the resin has ? nally hardened.The new shield injection system 150/300 has the following advantages over existing KA-TE shield injection systems:• A second camera provides an overview. Along-side the camera in the forward position a second, laterally arranged camera enables a direct view into the house connection. The operator is therefore able to position the shield and balloon exactly into an operation. This means two fewer operations and there-fore a considerable time saving.• Endless rotation of the head• The robot ? tted with a shield is therefore able to pass through a lined DN 200 sewer with a shield already in place.• Can also be used in an oval pipe (E200/300, E250/375, E300/450)KA-TE shield injection system
