KA-TE grinding robots are delivered ready for use in various vehicle systems. With the KA-TE COMPACT, we offer a mobile,
portable system, which can also be developed into a multi-functional system.

The hydraulically powered high performance of the KA-TE grinding robot
opens the door for very demanding grinding work. Deposits and protruding
connections can be removed, as well as steel armatures, rebar or protruding
cast-iron house connections, for example.
Due to the precise steering and high performance of KATE grinding robots,
it is possible to re-open lateral connections very quickly after pipe liner
rehabilitation.
In combination with the KA-TE filler robots and shield injection technology,
a wide variety of complex damage patterns can be repaired. The range of
uses includes repairing anything from cracks, splintering with protruding
edges, bursts, defective sleeves and missing wall parts up to re-opening of
completely blocked pipes or laterals in newly relined sewers.

nections, inlets, joints and cracks in
sewers, as well as for re-opening laterals
in pipe liners.

Full power through hydraulic drive
Both the grinding and traction motors
are hydraulically driven. This makes the
precisely controllable KA-TE grinding robots
particularly efficient, facilitates a clean,
quick and reliable execution of grinding
and polishing work and effectively prevents
the grinding heads from jamming. Due to
the compact design, even difficult-to-reach
places become accessible.
The machines are made from high-quality
materials and extremely resilient. Their
design also makes them easy to service.
Test winners in IKT product tests
2004 and 2009
KA-TE systems for the repair of sewers have
been proven to be among the best methods
offered on the market.
The KA-TE method was awarded
a rating of 1.6 in the IKT
product test "Repair Methods
for Main Sewers" (2009);
the best result in the group
"Injection and Filling/ Grouting
Methods". All evaluated spots
that were repaired with the system
proved to be leak-tight to at least 0.1 bar.
The robots are suitable for pipe diameters
from DN 150 to DN 800. Various grinding,
polishing and brush attachments allow for
versatile use of KA-TE grinding robots.
In frontal grinder mode, even completely
closed pipes can be opened.
