KBM StyroCrusher for EPS The collection, storage and transportation of post consumer EPS packagings have always been a problem due to the high volume. By breaking EPS post consumer packag-ings down to 25-75 mm (1-3 inch) in size on the KBM Styrocrusher EPS crushers, it is possible to reduce the volume to 1/3- 1/2 of the volume of loose truck-loaded packagings. You can feed it into huge plastic bags in length of up to 3-4 meters (9-12 feet). The bags can easily be loaded on a truck to bring it to the EPS shape- or block moulding plant for reuse in the EPS pro-duction. By keeping the EPS material as expanded foam and not compacting it, it keeps 85-90% of its initial value, because it can replace new EPS beads by the manufacturer of new EPS parts like e.g. packagings and insulation boards.
