Our scientific approach and good laboratory experience provide high quality analysis services. The LabSPA operates on basis of a quality management and according to relevant ISO- and DIN-standards. We align our structure, availability of analyzers as well as processes as far as possible according to your wishes, independent if you assign individual measurements or use the LabSPA for a longer period as an external analytical laboratory and quality control laboratory. We are equally ready to discuss with you urgent analyses with short process times as well as rentals of analyzers, training of your staff, comparison measurements towards your analyses or project work. Short processing times, well-based knowledge of our lab staff, experience with sampling, sample dividing (MICRO RIFFLER also for smallest sample amounts) and – weighing (weighing techniques down to 0.01 mg with integrated sample deionization), dry- and wet dispersion methods as well as high quality analyzers guarantee: the scientific and comprehensive characterisation of dispersions, powders and porous solids is core competence of the LabSPA. The use of different analytical methods is sketched exemplary for the following fields: a) Fuel cells / batteriesFuel cells / batteriesFuel cells / batteriesFuel cells / batteries: Analytical methods are available for particle size determination (laser diffraction, DLS, acoustic spectroscopy), for particle analysis in concentrated dispersions (acoustics and electroacoustics for the determination of particle size and zeta potential in original dispersions), supplementary methods for the analysis of active catalyst surface, specific surface area and pore size distributions (Hg-porosimetry, gas adsorption, chemisorption, capillary flow porometry) of membranes incl. DVS for the characterisation of water adsorption and desorption of the materials. b) Pharmacy / Cosmetics / FoodPharmacy / Cosmetics / FoodPharmacy / Cosmetics / FoodPharmacy / Cosmetics / Food: Our analytical methods for determination of density and tap density, BET-surface area, surface and pore characteristics, stability and microrheological properties of original dispersions, water sorption (DVS) or the methods for determination of particle size (ca. 1 nm up to the centimeter range) and particle shape allow comprehensive investigations in this field. c) Geology / Soil SciGeology / Soil SciGeology / Soil SciGeology / Soil Scienenenencececece: Beyond the characterisation of density, raw density and porosity, particle size and shape as well as water adsorption of geological and soil samples, a surface and pore investigation is possible also towards submicropores (< 0.5 nm) in clay and humus fractions by use of alternative adsorptives at the gas adsorption. In cooperation with our partners we offer for the characterisation of drill cores, complementary to results out of the Hg-porosimetry, permeability measurements at high pressures and temperatures. d) Building materials and ceramicsBuilding materials and ceramicsBuilding materials and ceramicsBuilding materials and ceramics: Beyond the determination of density, raw density resp. green density and porosity not only particle size characterisation by wet and dry measurements of powders is possible, but also the characterisation of concentrated ceramic or cement slurries in original concentration by determination of zeta potential, particle size or sound attenuation over a period. The analysis of water adsorption behaviour and pore size distribution of intermediates and final products can complete these investigations. e) AdsorbentsAdsorbentsAdsorbentsAdsorbents: Zeolithes, activated carbons, MOF´s, molecular sieves, silica gels a.o. can be analysed comprehensively. The use of gases and vapours is possible between 20 – 320 K by means of the CRYOCOOLER and therefore to determine textural parameters as well as to make thermo-dynamic evaluations. Such analyses can be affected with the iSORB-HP at variable temperatures up to 200 bar as contract analyses and can be complemented by Hg-porosimetry and other analysis methods. This is advantageous when applying different analysis methods (parallel use of analyzers) and if you want to be present during measurements LabSPA LabSPA LabSPA LabSPA ---- Scientific and comprehensive characterisation of dispersions, powders and porous solids Scientific and comprehensive characterisation of dispersions, powders and porous solids Scientific and comprehensive characterisation of dispersions, powders and porous solids Scientific and comprehensive characterisation of dispersions, powders and porous solids - 15 - Terms of deliveryTerms of deliveryTerms of deliveryTerms of delivery Required sample informationRequired sample informationRequired sample informationRequired sample information must be attached to each sample specimen. a.) a general sample sheet (with indications for safe handling and disposal of the samples) b.) a further sample sheet with indications regarding the analysis method, the required analyses, sample properties and -preparations The necessary sample sheets can either be sent to you by E-Mail if requested but also be downloaded from our homepage www.quantachrome.nl – Dates and Downloads. Measurement results and analysis Measurement results and analysis Measurement results and analysis Measurement results and analysis reportreportreportreport:::: The analysis report with the measurement results is provided as pdf-file by email (if required also by regular mail resp. by Fax), usually within 10 working days after receipt of samples. With only a few exceptions (e.g. density analysis) the analysis results are generally presented in graphs and tables and delivered with a report with explanations of the analysis method and procedure and an interpretation on the basis of our experiences. Processing timeProcessing timeProcessing timeProcessing time: : : : The standard delivery time for analysis results is within 10 working days after receipt of samples and has sometimes to be exceeded in case of large sample amounts or long-time-measurements (e.g. micro pore analysis or DVS with long equilibrium times). We will try to meet the required delivery time which we kindly ask you to specify on the sample sheet. ExpressExpressExpressExpress----ServiceServiceServiceService:::: The results are delivered within 2 working days resp. the analyses / sample preparations will be started on the first working day after sample receipt. The surcharge for the express service is 50 % on the standard prices. You can also arrange in the case of regularly ordered express service (e.g. in the scope of an outsourced quality control service) that certain processing times must not be exceeded and, if possible, an analyzer is reserved for your analysis assignment as soon as you inform us in advance of your dispatch of samples. The call-off order stipulates the total invoice amount with the referring discount as well as the max. processing time for the assignment.
