www.EcologixSystems.comEcologix clarifiers are engineered to dramatically reduce the footprint, while maximizing particle settling to increase the settling surface area. Influent first enters the clarifier through the flash mix tank where it is rapidly mixed with coagulants; this reaction allows the particles to separate from the water and coagulate into larger particles. Water entering a slow mix chamber is gently agitated while adding flocculant polymer mix, further increasing the particle size, then flowing down a settling chamber, entering the plate packs through the sides and bottom of the clarifier. As the water flows up the plate packs the solids settle and slide into the sludge hopper at the bottom of the unit. The sludge is then removed and dewatered, allowing clean water to be discharged from the clarifier.
