PERFORMANCE LINER®CIPP LATERALCONNECTION SOLUTIONSWWW.PERFORMANCELINER.COMLMK TECHNOLOGIES®T-LINER® BY LMK TECHNOLOGIEST-LINER® by LMK TECHNOLOGIES is the trenchless cured in-place pipesystem being utilized in collection systems throughout the world for renewing the entirelateral and the main to lateral connection without the need of conventional excavation. With its Compression Gasket Sealing Technology and more than 50,000 successfulinstallations, LMK’s technology has been proven time and time again to be the mosteffective, most non-disruptive, long lasting lateral renewal system.STRATEGIC SOLUTIONSLMK’S T-LINER® is engineered and constructed as a one-piece homogeneousmain and lateral lining. The T-liner® incorporates compressible material that forms asmooth engineered taper at all transition ends.Every T-Liner® passes a stringent 27 point qualityassurance program.LMK’S T-LINER® conforms to ASTMF2561-06 and is constructed in a cylindricaldesign making it a true Structural, Stand Alone“Main and Lateral” CIPP Lining. Since both themain and lateral are tubular, everyday engineeringdesign calculations are applicable using flexuralmodulus, flexural strength, liner thickness, soilmodulus, depth and other commonly used designfactors. The T-Liner® provides a VNLCTM (verifiablenon-leaking connection) by use of expanding O-rings embedded between the host pipeand the liner. This compression gasket seal is the same type of seal used for direct burrypipe and is compatible to seal with all types of piping including polyethylene and olefinbased coatings that are common on CIPP linings from manhole to manhole. Other lessprecise lateral connection systems try to convince you their liner will bond to the pipefor 50 years, and will withstand hydrostatic pressures.T-LINER®by LMKYou’reJust AboutThere...KeepGoingTHE MOST PRECISE LONG-TERM ENGINEEREDCIPP SOLUTION FOR DEFECTIVE LATERALSAND THE MAIN/LATERAL CONNECTION.18”360oGasket SealingTechnologyDESIGNED USINGENGINEERING PRACTICESASTM - F2561-06Standard Practice for Rehabilitation of aSewer Service Lateral and its connectionto the Main Using a One Piece Main andLateral Cured-in-Place Liner.T-LINER®THE PROBLEM T-LINER®Laterals have been constructed using a variety ofconstruction materials and constructed using poor installationmethods that allow rootintrusion and water infiltration.Mainlines are renewed frommanhole to manhole usingfold & form, spiral wound andCIPP linings. Cities andspecifying engineers havebeen told for years that the resin used in CIPP has "glue-likequalities" and that itbonds to the inside ofthe main pipe. The truth is, groundwater migrates behindmainline linings and re-enters the collectionsystem at serviceconnections. The end result is a one-piece, structural, new continuousMain/Lateral CIPP that eliminates root intrusion andinfiltration, and is engineered to resist compressive hoopstress. Every T-Liner® is permanently marked with a"Lateral Identification" as described in the ASTM F2561-06 Standard Practice for Rehabilitation of a Sewer ServiceLateral and its Connection to the Main Using aOne-Piece Main and Lateral Cured in-Place Pipe.18”200’SHORTY™ & STUBBY™SHORTYSTUBBYLMK's Stubby™ is a one-piece, structural, stand-alonehomogenous Main/Lateral CIPP connection liner extending6-inches into the lateral pipe. Stubby™ is installed using aTEE-shaped inflatable packer and is robotically positionedfrom within the main pipe. Stubby™ was designed formunicipalities that needed to structurally renew and sealonly the Main/Lateral junction from root intrusion andinfiltration of ground water. Stubby™ provides an economicstructural solution because it allows multiple connectionsto be sealed at the same time. The entire process isaccomplished without the need for an outside cleanout.LMK's T-Liner® Shorty™ system is a one-piece, structural,stand-alone homogenous Main/Lateral CIPP connectionliner that extends 3 feet up into the lateral pipe. Shorty™was designed for municipalities that want the connectionsealed and the most value without the cost or legal issuesassociated with installing a cleanout. Shorty™ is thetrenchless, one-piece, Main/Lateral CIPP Solution thatutilizes Gasket Sealing Technology and all of the otherunique features as found in a standard T-Liner® includingvacuum impregnation, inversion installation, full-circle mainliner construction, tapered ends for a smooth transition, lateral identification, and a long-term sealed imperviouscoating, all without the need for an outside cleanout.18”6”18”3’INSTALLATIONLMK’S T-LINER® is constructed from a one-pieceengineered textile producing a structural Main/Laterallining tube. The lining tube is positioned inside of thepatented translucent inversion bladder. This translucentbladder allows the installerand inspector to visuallyverify the liner is thoroughlysaturated with a thermo-setresin during the vacuumimpregnation process, there-fore ensuring there are no dry spots.LMK’s one-step liner/bladder assembly allows the simul-taneous CIPP lining of the main pipe and the lateral pipe.Excess resin migratesinto fractures andopen joints producinga homogenous, struc-tural, new CIPP thateliminates water infil-tration, sewage ex-fil-tration, and root intrusion. The lateral lining tube andbladder are loaded into the launching hose as the mainliner and bladder are wrapped around the T-launchingdevice. The patented hydrophilic swelling O-rings are nowplaced around the Main lining tube. The T-Launcher is nowattached to LMK’s robotic positioning device and isinserted into the main pipe and positioned at the servicelateral. The mainline sheet is inflated creating a full-circleconnection while embedding the hydrophilic O-ringsbetween the liner and the host pipe. The lateral lining isthen inverted up into the old lateral pipe with the bladderextending beyond the end of the liner so no cutting isrequired. The T-Liner® is available with a variety of provenand engineered resin systems; Polyester, Vinyl-ester, Epoxyor Silicate. TheT-Liner® is cured atambient tempera-tures in as little astwo hours or steamcured as fast asthirty minutes.T-Liner® can beinstalled in main pipe diameters ranging from 6 to 30-inches and lateral pipe diameters ranging from 3 to 12-inches while negotiating multiple bends and pipe diametertransitions. Best of all, the main and lateral portions of aT-Liner® are resin saturated, inserted, and cured all at thesame time producing a truly homogenous structural liningthat incorporates gasket sealing technology and providesa verifiable non-leaking connection.WWW.PERFORMANCELINER.COMLMK TECHNOLOGIES®1779 Chessie Lane • Ottawa, IL 61350PHONE 815.433.1275 • FAX 815.433.0107 tliner_01 tliner_02 tliner_03 tliner_04 tliner_05 tliner_06
